So the Skorva beam (the metal support beam) for IKEA beds is *always* sold separately (there's a few other pieces that are like this too). They do this for multiple reasons but the *main* reason is to help with manufacturing costs - since they have different manufacturers for different styles of beds, but they *all* fit the Skorva - it's easier and cheaper to just sell it separately. It also helps with the compact flatpacking IKEA uses for their furniture. Either way - this was probably one of the most missed items when it comes to buying IKEA furniture. Even when it's placed on the shopping list by the sellers, people would *always* forget it and then some poor after sales team member would have to explain that it's a separate item, yes there's a reason why it's separate, no I can't just give it to you for free and no, it's not misleading because it is included in the *final* price of the bed (which is why what you paid was just a bit cheaper than you thought it'd be), and yes, it's right there on the shopping list. Fun times!

I, like Rochelle, liked the "F*ck off Friday's " lol, but I commend you both on finding ways to live together amicably and with kindness, while acknowledging and respecting each other's desire for space and autonomy. Also, the room is dope AF 💚

I agree with your comment on color sorting in thrift stores! I think the same goes for clothes and shoes as well, but with sizes. It's so much quicker and easier to shop when you can just go the section you want and the size you want.
@AnnekeOosterink2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, sorting by size is so much easier! I feel this especially in shoe stores, I have large feet so lots of shoes don't even come in my size, so often I wander through a store and go, oh that's a nice shoe! Oh, it only goes to 40. Oh that one's nice too! Oh, this one only goes to 41. And when I ask which shoes are available in 42 the sales people never can tell me. Ugh, it's such an annoyance. :)

Lol! I love having my own room. The important take away, especially if your partner isn't very affectionate, is that you have to make extra effort to be affectionate to each other. Crawl in bed together in the morning to snuggle. Hold each other on the couch. Random hugs and kisses. Otherwise you start feeling like roommates. - Relationship demise. Love the room!
