I came here after watching YOUTH OF MAY. They used Jeolla dialect since they are shooting the story about the Martial Law in Gwangju in 1980. And as a BTS FAN, J-HOPE biased. He's from Gwangju and I find this cute. Realizing that "oohhhhh yeahhhh rightttt he has this dialect. I heard of him." I LOVE HIM EVEN MOREEEE

It would be very interesting to hear all the different provinces' 억양 compared. Like you have one person from each area, and hear the same sentence spoken with the different 억양.

저는 여수인데 확실히 사투리가 다르네요. 느자구, 귄있다는 거의 들어보지 못했고. 허벌나게는 자주 쓰지만, 허부지게, 허천나게 같이도 쓰거든요. 거시기는 거석, 거식같이 줄여 쓰기도 하고요. 뻐치다는 '뻐시다'로 말하고요.

Sorry for asking,why does Gyeongsang-do satoori often classified into Busan and Daegu satoori? While Jeolla-do only called Jeolla satoori,why not Gwangju satoori or Jeonju satoori.
@MeeraThomas
@MeeraThomas 2 жыл бұрын
I think it’s because the Busan and Daegu dialects have a lot of major differences between them even though they’re in the same province but the Jeolla dialect stays pretty standard across the province except for tiny regional nuances.
