Very interesting unit John. To me the best use of those boat stabilizers is for fishing wrecks or rocky bottom for Blacks. 👍👍🐟🐟

Nice! Very nice. I do wish I was a fly on a wall when you take it out the first time with all the Johns. “Yea John, that thing has a really nice shaft 😂” I was a New Yorker too. Seriously though, that thing looks awesome.

I have a Power Pole Brushless Trolling motor. Very happy with the performance so far. These new units are all expensive and many people don’t want to put 5000 or 6000 dollars down for one but I did .72” on my 26’ boat.

I was heading in that direction, but as I continued doing my research, the minn kota wasn't compatible with my simrad. That's where I changed my direction to the Rhodan

@@davidpituk5750 yes. I had the 87 on my 32 Sea Vee so think it will be more than enough on a 22

Perfect timing I’m in the market for one myself, not the quest though. I could use some help from you or viewers, deciding between a 36V or 24V ( which is about $750 less ) for my 18’ Grady CC ? Thanks very much John and everyone.
@sapelesteve11 ай бұрын
Hi. I don't know the region where you fish but I think that the 24V would be more than sufficient. Just my opinion.
@jiggingjerks11 ай бұрын
I think the 24 would probably work but I’m not an expert on that stuff
@slange45511 ай бұрын
@@sapelesteve24v will work using 24v on a 23ft bay boat. But with the cost of lithium batteries going down it’s not really about 3 vs 2 batteries or the weight difference. Can buy one 36v battery that weighs less than one lead acid battery

Most likely a composite. Some filled plastics are crazy strong and need minimum lubrication and won't corrode.

Hi John, Did you ever look at, or consider, new saltwater garmin kraken? What are your thoughts on that? I just got ninety inch one installed on my boat by recommendation from electronic people. I just wish they have option of self deployment feature.
@jiggingjerks11 ай бұрын
Minn Kota has been so great to me and I’m part of their guide program so I did not consider them. Having said that, I’m a huge Garmin fan and if I couldn’t go MK, I’d likely have gone the Garmin Kraken route

@@jiggingjerks thank you for response. My boat it is cming with all farming electronics so I figure that it makes sense to do that. Do you have actually have a date for new boat delivery? Are you gonna be using a transport or you get a tall yourself back to Long Island? It'd probably be little cheaper.

What’s the price difference with Out the self deploying? I plan on getting a Trolling Motor within the next two weeks? Unfortunately I use Raymarine products, will that be a big setback?

It's about a 2500 difference

Idk man, I got screwed on the Ulterra . Of course the auto deploy fails just after the warranty period and the massive repair cost wasn’t worth it so I scrapped the motor. Now I’m supposed to trust that all the Minnkota “hours of engineering” made this bullet proof? Sorry, my butt still hurts too bad to believe.
@jiggingjerks11 ай бұрын
I specifically asked about that. I know where you're coming from

Had an ulterra on a 22ft CC it failed on us the first trip while we were trying to stow the motor, took it to Nj trolling motors under the warranty got it back in a week and never had another problem in 3 years we sold it with the boat and just ordered this new model, brushless motors and a larger worm gear brings me comfort.

I recently bought one of the last 87” Terrova for my Parker bc I knew this new model was coming out. The price increase, IMO, is not worth the justification for the marketed features.
