I stumbled across this. And as IM a true blue born and raised Minnesotan, I appreciate this. I have tried the deep fried ice cream this year. And I loved it. I have to try the dill pickle pizza though. Each year at the state fair we get so many new foods. It is so hard to try them, because I want my old favorites as well. For those that don’t know, our state fair is absolutely massive. It is called the great Minnesota get together. And I love it!!

This was so great! I'm a former Twin Cities resident in Mexico, and I always look forward to reading about the new State Fair foods. This was so fun to watch - much more fun than reading about them! And I could tell you guys knew what you were talking about because everything you liked were the things that looked the best to me. First, I would RUN to that Cheese Curd Tacos place - those looked SO good!! I also thought the very first thing he tried, the pork schnitzel, looked fantastic, and the first two vegan items! I would definitely get all of those! But I would run, not walk, to that cheese curd taco place, those things looked ridiculous! And editing to add: chica es muy bonita!

I didn’t eat much food there but it was a wonderful experience when I went there! I loved the beer-breaded mozzarella sticks it was delicious! I truly recommend it for next year!

The Hmong basket looked great. And, the gray duck licorice ice cream at Bridgenan’s. The Indian frozen treats looked great, especially the one with saffron. Maybe go to traditional places once day? Tom Thumb donuts, Nathan’s hot dogs, frozen bananas, Lefse place, and the milk & chocolate milk stand.
