I've cooked this mugcake as well as several others from various YT vloggers and in my opinion, this is by far the best one.
@kpnitrl385 жыл бұрын
I have not done it yet. It's been in my 'dessert' folder on my to-do-list. I have tried other KZbinr cup--cakes and they have been so so. John is right, it's the texture that is the hard thing to nail. So I'll take your opinion as true... His is the best, simply bcz I've cooked at least 50 recipes of his and I always come away with great results. I unfortunately gave him a thumbs down on one recipe in the past I tried.. Oh, I remember, it was his beef jerky. It was not very good. Anyhoo, thanks for your input.

Probably because it has all the necessary ingredients, like oil and milk (more moisturizers). Most of the YT cakes are hockey pucks because they try to get by with 1 or 2 ingredients only.

I made some with a little splash of hazelnut extract and coconut instead of the almonds, and it's absolutely delicious. One quick note for anyone who wants an even deeper chocolate flavor- mix your cocoa powder with a few ounces of hot water/milk (whichever you're using in the cake already) and let it sit for a few minutes. Just like with coffee, the cocoa powder will brew and develop an even deeper flavor.

took almost 2 mins in my microwave. maybe cause i used one large mug instead of two cups. never mind, the trick is to stop the microwave when you see that the cake has stopped rising. also, i suggest substituting at least one tablespoon of fat content with olive oil. trust me, it works great!

Hello there! Thx so much for the tip, one tends to forget that cocoa and olive oil suit each other in a great way, notwithstanding the "trendy" fools, who'll actually put together olive oil-cream flavored macarons, which sounds plainly nasty...!

wow... this was really good... so easy to make. Had to cook for 1min 20sec on my crappy old microwave but I don't mind waiting a few seconds more :) Even added the dramatic effect :) I just used 3 tbl spn of oil instead of butter and oil because I didn't have any butter in the house, but added some cream in replace of some of the milk... worked just as well

Good morning form England. I tried your recipe last night and (after adjusting for my puny 700w microwave instead of 1100 w on your example) it worked very well.
