I had a “friend” who was similar, but opposite-he tried to convince me that I was miserable because of my faith. Turns out it was actually a rare medical condition that’s hard to diagnose, but I didn’t find that out until after two years of dealing with comments like “if you quit believing in fictional characters and wake up to reality, you’ll feel better” and “at least MY depression is real; you’re just refusing to accept facts”. I must say, before meeting him, I never considered myself depressed...but I swear, he was a total emotional vampire, always kicking me while I was down. I don’t know what I saw in him, but it took me months of locking myself in my room to get over it when we stopped hanging out.

I’m a Christian and from what I learned in my youth group is that if you have a friend that has or is going to make a bad decision, say you don’t support the decision, but that you support them. Tell them about Jesus when THEY want to hear it. If they don’t, show God’s love through your actions. The way Avi was trying to ‘convert’ her, was 100% the wrong way. You can’t force the Bible down someone’s throat, or else they’ll have the same reaction she did. Hating any religion involving God, Jesus, and The Holy Spirit. Throwing up doesn’t mean that God is cleansing you of your sin. It only happens when you ask for forgiveness for everything you’ve done. God is a gentleman and won’t come into your heart until you open the door for him, but he will keep knocking. He’ll never give up on any of us, because he loves us to much.

I RELATE TO THIS SO HARD! Okay so I was friends with this girl for a while, and she's kinda homophobic, and well, I'm bi. She supported me at the beginning, and I was so glad to have her because she was such an amazing friend. I could talk to her about anything. Things started to go downhill though, and she started spreading rumors about me and telling my darkest secrets and insecurities to people I did NOT want knowing all about my personal life. She thought I was a creep because I was bisexual and had depression, and she blocked me and ended our friendship. I miss her SO MUCH even though she was a terrible friend to me. Now that I'm not under her spell like everyone else, I can see how toxic her personality is. She thinks she's so much better than everyone else and refuses to keep an open mind. Even though she's not a good person, I would give ANYTHING to be friends with her again, because she listened to me like no one else ever had. Okay sorry about that life rant bye.
