Mira Valve seat cutter used on a Mini cyl head.

Another type of Manual European valve seat cutter that can be used in the home /workshop, the Mira VG series started in the 1970's and was updated through the years. This is a VG91 model. it has Manual operation with a magnetic base, ( you need to bolt a steel plate to use it on alloy heads) made in Switzerland, this is a pretty heavy duty tool the magnetic base will lift 20kg ! Also capable of boring valve seat recesses for unleaded seats as well. I first started using this type of seat cutter in the 1980's (vg19) and currently use a later model of this type at Vmaxscart.
