@kpwl12 there is wire running out of the actors leg to the director, spike lee, who triggers the explosives and blood to go off under the actors clothes.

I’m pretty sure the actors themselves trigger the gunshots. It would be pretty complicated to sync blasts with your movements if someone else was controlling it. Also in a huge field with so many actors getting shot, it would be pretty complicated for one person to control all of them and keep them from tripping on the wires

Actually a soldier could have really gotten killed like that at 9:19-9:21 because those alleys and pathways didn't have much cover in them. That would suck. He couldn't even hide in the door arch.

Hey, can you please tell me which 'Colognora' village was this shot at? I went to one of them the other day in the hope to take snaps of some of the scenes in this movie, however, one of the locals told me there are 4 villages in Tuscany with the same name. Ws this one in Pescaglia? or the one in Bagni di Lucca, near Benabbio? Thanks, Susan

@Wiseguy453 im not sure what country you are in so it might not be funny but in america in the 90's there was a famous black music video director, Hype Williams, who directed a lot of big rap artist. They are joking about him while ALSO using the character voice of another rapper, Humpty Hump, from the 90's... If you know these references its funny.
