the way i was about to say we needed the 40 minute vid only to hear u actually are gonna do them but separately... u got me. NOT PARALLEL ADRIEN EMBRACING VILLANY BC HE NEEDED CONTROL U REALLY WENT THERE!!! Adrien's whole arc no matter the dimension it's about agency... and i would find that beautiful if it weren't for that awful finale and the way they handled it. This is the first time in the series adrien directly talks about his grieving process and it was so nedded. I would say i want more scenes of adrien with his friends, we have that one with plagg cheering him up with the piano, but i would like to see nino, alya hell, even l*ka, more aware of adrien's struggles, like marinette is. Maybe the whole 'i cataclysmed monarch' plot could have been expanded more, with parallel adrien making our adrien understand their power is theirs alone and like u said, maybe sometimes they are gonna make difficult choices. But well, its an hour long special, i get it. I'm just waiting here for the writers to acknowledge destruction can be a power used to built something new too, that some bridges NEED to be burned. Plagg said smth like that at the beggining of the special so i thought they were gonna talk about it more, its smth adrien needs to live by. I feel like parallel adrien also makes us emphatize with him more than g*briel, even if they technically have the same motive, bc at the end of the day he is a kid that was left alone (supposedly parallel g*briel is so busy being a hero that doesn't pay attention to adrien either) and he doesn't have a reason to know any better, unlike our universe g*briel. For me, the beautiful dialogue scenes were like a slap in the face, Marinete speaks so highly of Alya and they show how important their friendship is, but later on Alya doesn't even try to believe in Marinete even though they've been through so much together, and when Adrien talks about moving on like his mother would like and how his friends are there for him, it makes me feel bad knowing that Gabriel is going to put him through bad things but Adrien doesn't even know what happened and believes his father was amazing and wants to be like him 😔

I have yet to watch this special but based off everything I’ve heard, it amazes me how the main series can always never seen to do character progression or development right, yet it’s always the specials who manage to be special and do well in that regard, whoever does the specials needs to do the main series as well because we need more consistent writing like this. I love the special so much 😁😁😁. I love the "what if" of what Marinette and Adrien could've been if they didn't let themselves love themselves, be open to new friendships, and work on the things they have power over to better themselves and their lives. One thing I love about seeing the reverse version of Adrien is how unhinged he is as Claw Noir as our Adrien uses Chat Noir to be free and do almost whatever he wants compared to his civilian life probably reverse Adrien as a civilian has to hold some things back but obviously has an attitude different from our Adrien. The way Claw Noir took the Cataclysm and pretended that it was nothing when we see that it does hurt when Shadybug pushes him in the stomach shows how he doesn't care what happens to him. He already knows that the use of the miraculous is already destroying, so what a little bit more damage could do. Also, I love the conversation and cat puns between the two, showing how much they are alike and different they are and the same with Marinette. They're both in the dark about the extra powers of the miraculous and what they can do to their users. At the same time, Marinette and Adrien can see what their powers look like when they finally achieve not transforming back and using their abilities as much as they want; the only difference is how they unlock that potential. The way they use their Cataclysm also plays a factor into it as when they were fighting, Chat Noir didn't use it while Claw Noir was overusing it, and that shot of Claw Noir almost cataclysming Adrien when he was de-transformed was terrific as our Adrien probably reflects what reverse Adrien used to be before the Supreme entrusted him with the black cat miraculous and before he lost his mother and having to accept that Claw Noir has to move on and learn to let people in his life again in he wants to heal. Also, I think the special would've worked better if it was placed between Kwami's Choice and Perfection, as I feel it was around that time when both Adrien and Marinette were at their lowest and highest, as Marinette felt lost and hopeless with what happened, while Adrien especially in Passion wanting to use the wish to help Nathalie but remembering the price of the wish would've fit better. It's also the same time where they start their relationship, which makes them stronger and emotionally stable (well, somewhat) compared to their counterparts as the reverse Adrien is in love with reverse Marinette but probably doesn't know how to interact with her or if he even has a chance and to see our Adrien be in a relationship with Marinette shows that he can. While, for reverse Marinette, she's alone and has no one to go to or help her, and what our Marinette went through can help; she can show her counterpart that she can have friends and not be alone and all that the same thing they talked about but with the added mention of having Adrien as her boyfriend showing to reverse Marinette that people can love her and isn't alone.

I love your analises! And I am glad you made the first one about Adrien. I did not really expect much of this special (most of all the Shanghai episode disapointed me) but good God was I pleasently surprised! The facts that the special starts with Gabriel's story immediatly is such a good choice. We practically got a lot of info we needed in those first 30 seconds. There was no Adrienette drama like there usual is, the conversationships of the characters to their parallel selves was amazing. The story wraps up well. The most important questions (why Marinette and Adrien are villains and Gabriel is the good guy) are answered. I also noticed that even though Thomas Astruc was in the writers team, it was Jeremy Zag who actually directed it. I think that might also cause some improvement. 😅😊

Can you please do an analysis on reverse Gabriel/Betterfly/Hesperia? I think he's a very nuanced character and not appreciated enough. Most people just take claw noir’s word of his dad not caring at face value and accept it because we’re so used to that being the case with our Gabriel. But reverse Gabriel being a horrible, neglectful and abusive father does not fall in line with his character not his beliefs. Since its the reverse world and our Gabriel hyper fixated on Emilie, I feel like reverse Gabriel is naturally the opposite, he chose to let go and is moving on and reverse Adrien, who is essentially doing what our Gabriel is doing, resents his father for moving on too quickly, for seemingly not caring enough. I'm not saying he's a great father, he might not even be a good father but I do think he's trying his best given the circumstances. He's from a dystopian world which seems a lot more dangerous than our world. He loves Adrian but doesn't know how to communicate with him and might not even have the time to do so because of his heroic work and company. The difference is that if reverse Gabriel was informed on how Adrien’s feeling feel like he would be determined to improve himself unlike our Gabriel.

I love this speacial! Espeacialy shadybug! Clawn nior's Design was meh , hate his hair . But his eyes are pretty 🙂 I also disliked hesperia's englisch dub Name: Betterfly? Betterfly? Seriously? I love adrien in this time line he loves Mari straight away he gets a reveal and when he’s claw he pretends he was going to catch shady and let her drop which to me almost makes up for our universes ladybug throwing chat in the bin I would love to see more on claw noirs time line but he has more in the end than our adrien and knows more part of me wonders if Gabriel from that time had already told him he was a senti human but there was no proof in the movie to suggest 1 way or another but Gabriel is very different there and adrien had no care for his well-being so uncertain

Umm.....I actually have a theory about the new York special I mean in the new York special uncanny was able to recognise marinette and Adrien with their costumes on right ? Because like she said, the miraculous are used to trick human and she's an ai robot with emotions right ? ......but then we know Max's robot Markov has also developed emotions though I mean by himself to a certain condition idk. But how come he wasn't able to recognise marinette and Adrien in the maskes then 🤔??......I just wanted to know so I'm asking 😂
