Kelly seeks to honor, never to out-do. If you don’t know that, you don’t know anything about her. I didn’t get lullaby…at…all. I saw a respectable performance. The vocal did not have to be gritty, because she was honoring gritty lyrics. Kelly understands the concept and heartbreak of tin man. It’s clear she’s lived it. My suspicion is that she was being respectful to a songwriter that she admires.

I love Kelly Clarkson and I love her voice and her personality. I know she has been thru some heartache and she looks wonderful even though I don't think a woman has to be thin to look wonderful. Yes, I am a plus size woman but, back on point, I think that she sounded fantastic and I am a big Miranda Lambert Fan. I listen to all of her songs that I can purchase on the Music Choice channel and I love her videos. I think Miranda Lambert would not have said anything at all if she didn't approve. But, she gave her stamp of approval and and I think that is fantastic. ❤

I can say there's not a song Kelly Clarkson can't sing. That saying I loved Miranda Lambert with this song even though Kelly comes awful close to any artist songs. She has sang many different songs by other artist and is incredible. When she did the Oscars she was amazing. This song will always stick with me with Miranda because her voice just fits this song. I’ve said it before and I will say it again, I do not compare artists. I prefer Dolly’s original “I Will Always Love You”, you can feel her in those lyrics. It came from a personal space, and I am quite biased in my love for Dolly, as it goes back 58 years. There is no doubt Whitney Houston did that song justice. I do not believe any other artist could have done a better job than Ms. Houston honoring that song. Miranda and Kelly are both phenomenal artists with beautiful voices, and they both bring something to the table. Miranda’s will always be my favorite, but it is because she is singing her soul. It does not mean I didn’t love Kelly’s cover. I did.

I would probably word it differently Miranda's is more rugged and raw. We're Kelly is vulnerable and more wistfully heartbroken. We all know Miranda doesn't do wistfully heartbroken She does a kick ass heartbreak. I love hearing both versions to be honest and I've noticed that they're mixing songs up more for the karaoke's because they have more time I think this one's a draw which very very rarely have

I'm not sure why so many commenters are givinng this man grief about him reviewing/critiquing Kelly's version of this song. For Pete's sake, he's giving a contrast and comparison critique, on HIS channel. He didn't even use a click bait title. He said Miranda Reacts, not Miranda critiques. And, he showed you her reaction, which is on multiple websites. Also, as I did, most clicked on here to see Kelly's rendition of the song. He showed all I needed to see to make my own opinion. You either know the song or you don't. If you don't, then I don't know why you clicked in the first place. If you need to hear the song in full, I'm sure there are multiple places you can go listen to it. We all know both ladie's capabilities. I've been a fan of Kelly since AGT, which if I'm correct, was well before Miranda graced our airwaves. I've been a huge fan of Miranda since she released The House That Built Me. She has been one of my favorite female artists for years. For me, there are some songs that should only be sung by the OG artist, and those are songs that are written from a place of deep, personal grief/emotion. To start, I offer a short list below: Lambert: Tin Man Clarkson: Piece By Piece Vince Gill: Go Rest High On That Mountain Eric Clapton: Tears In Heaven or Circus Left Town But, this is just my opinion, I'm sure others feel different and that would be their right. Now, I need to go and listen to the OG version of Tin Man. One of my favorite songs, gives me goosebumps every time I hear it.
