The way to beat blacklist is to surprise them with new draft and strat. Most of the games that Blacklist lost is because of this. It will be difficult though for long series game like BO5 and BO7 because they can adapt fast with the help of their analyst and coach. Their analyst and coach together With veenus are one of the strengths of blacklist really.

But if you look at the performance during playoffs in their countries. ONIC was more dominant during their playoffs compared to Blacklist. I am not setting aside Blacklist, they are brilliant. I think its the Guin + Paq/Bene works vs Valir and Lylia. Guin forces the other team to use purify. Guin and Paq (you could sub Bene as well) forces Valir and Lylia to be conscious of their positioning. Spam spells like they did in the 2nd game, then Wise and Edward can just jump at you. The big factor is that ECHO doesn't have the Barats here like on Game 2. Lolita also counters the projectiles so they have better comp than the 1 dimension comp on Game 2.

Now it's hard to beat the blacklist now because their hero pool is getting wider especially Wise, who can play any hero in the jungle even support heroes(Angela/Rafaela Jungle). 1. Wise usually uses heroes with great utility skills which could help him take the objectives. Guin could check bushes, cc the jungler, attack the backlines, and initiate teamfights then escapes only to wait his skills to cd then returns to fight again. 2. Purify is also not good with chain cc line up which is what happened there. Even if you escaped Guin's cc, Blck still have the Nuomenon Blast and Shadow Stampede. All Blck should do is force Echo to burn their purifies and flickers then go all in. Easy to say but difficult to execute. 3. Blck decoded the Valir+Lylia problem by picking Melissa. Melissa's bush check using the doll and his extended range forced the Valir to always reposition. This also leave room for Oheb to free hit without getting cc'ed by Valir and Lylia. Unlike if they forced picking a Claude, Claude's short range will just make him vulnerable from the Valir+Lylia strat.

Good Analysis! I was waiting for your take on the long lord dance on game 6. At the moment I was watching it live, I did not realize how perfect they were setting it up until 2 of the 2nd towers from Echo were taken by BL. Then with that, the 1k gold lead from the start of the lord dance became a 3k gold lead and slowly building up without even a kill from both teams! Super well executed.

Hello Mirko, this analysis is pretty accurate but one thing for sure why blacklist is unbeatable its because of their Hero Pool. You can't predict what hero they use during game. Drafting phase is scary what is more in picking phase. It means Wise make history for MLLB Tournaments he is the only one use different heroes in Final. As we go along in MPL season 7 he use Aldous which this hero is for RG only in Grandmaster and Epic Rank. Season 8 he use Bane. In M4 he use Natan, Sibol he use Akai. And this recently Mpl season he use Guinevere. What is more in M4 maybe he will be use Badang, Gusion, Silvana or Chang'e. And the rest of his Team you can't denied maybe Oheb will be using Layla, Hadji will be using Cecilion and Vexanna, Edward maybe using Gatot and Vee will be using Carmilla or Floryn which good Combo for Cecilion. According to one of the Ph Casters, Lolita + Paquito picks from BLCK was a sure win. Coz we all know how the Queen uses Lolita plus Edward being Mr. Consistent. Guni pick strategy is kinda cool, we also used this kind of strat when i used to play back in season 18/19 because enemy are force to use purify, they can't use flicker or sprint. It's so good for our team to catch and eliminate them. But its kinda risky if our side lane loss lane.

i think echo went with the khufra since it has a reliable low cd knock up against blck's channeling skillshots (pharsa & lolita ult). i really think the melissa being picked up against the pharsa was the glaring mistake by echo

guine can jungle rotate fast.. 2 dashes(jump,dash) they can out rotate them since lylia and valir would stick together..guine also hard to catch.. if she got slowed and cc by valir when she jump she can ulti dash out.. it's about exhausting their skills and spells and their patience 🤣🤣🤣 ... it also force the enemy to have puri they dont want flickers for lolita and paquito.. if they purify ulti of lolita/ guine.. paquito can easily chase them coz they dont have a way to exit.

During the drafting (game 5), Blacklist was first to pick I guess and they chose Valentina. But the thing is that Echo left Bene and Faramis open, it was like blacklist forced them to get it or else they will take it for themselves. In a sense the draft was in favor of blacklist. Instead of letting Bene and Fara open for Edward & Hadji they decided to just take it haha. Edward is insane whenever he got Bene on his hands and he is pretty annoying too when he is split pushing. Lastly, what I noticed about Echo during the finals if Yawi can’t put a play then everyone else can’t put up a play and blacklist knows that. That’s why most prio banned are Yawi’s heroes. He went crazy when he used Chou during the rsg finals lower bracket game(light wasn’t able to put up a play at all because of him). That’s why it was never opened throughout this finals.
