I also own a really old Miroku field grade 20 gauge from between 1963 and 1976 ... gorgeous gun and I paid 600usd for it. I feel like I will hand it down to my kids one day without a problem.

I have an old miroku 600 sporter with 26-inch barrels and full and half choke. been in my family since around 1970, it's so old it predates year codes! God knows how many cartridges have been through it, well over a hundred thousand, but its never gone wrong once. Was the first shotgun I ever shot, the first gun my dad ever shot a straight with and is a family heirloom now. It's one of those guns that does everything well. I've used it for skeet and sporting, and up until I inherited my dads Browning b2g It was what I used to shoot DTL, (which it is surprisingly good at-so long as you are fast) Miroku--very fine guns all of em.

Brits are so fortunate to be able to have these! We only have a rather pathetic selection of Browning’s in the USA, which does not include the wonderful 525’s you can buy in the U.K.

MK38 is made in a sporter and a trap version. Also, grade 5 is between £2600-£3k, NOT £5k!

Love Miroku guns. I'm not sure if it's because of a Miroku/Browning agreement or what, but Miroku as it's own brand is hard to come by in the states. The older Charles Daley guns are still available on the used market as are older era Mirokus. But the new models are non existent. I'm still shooting an older Miroku Daley Superior grade trap O/U trap and hunt pheasant with a side by side model. Great guns.

Hi mate. I'm about to buy a mk38 trap but I can only get my hands on the multichoke and adjustable trigger version. Do you think one is superior to the other or they're both the same? One guy on KZbin said they're worlds apart and the fixed choke version is superior. I'd like to hear your thoughts on this. Cheers

Just stumbled on this channel and its excellent and well produced. I have only had my SGC for a week and have just bought a Miroku 7000 SP1 28" multi choke as my starter gun for clay and when I mounted it, it felt so comfortable and the fit was just superb. I have had 5 professional lessons and this little gun fits me better than the instructors Beretta :). I will shoot with it for the first time next Sunday and my hopes are that I will be very pleased with its performance, but maybe not by own. I will keep following this channel, thanks.

@Richard S I always tell people just starting out not to be tempted by the cheap price of certain new guns when you can get a top quality Japanese gun for half the price. I often wonder how much you’d pay for a modern gun now if it was built to the same quality as the old Mirokus. I’m thinking £5000/6000

What barrel length is the Mk38 trap you're using? Would you say 30" is the better to take advantage of its 'all rounder' capabilities?

Miroku and Browning shotguns are the same and often come out of the same factory in Japan. The Miroku MK10 is the Browning 525, for example.

Although Miroku is near Taiwan ROC 🇹🇼, this area has the strictest control of guns, cartridges in the world; no individual is allowed to buy guns privately, freely and bring guns & cartridges back home or anywhere. So it’s seemed like to watch a drama only, all are useless actually.

Nothing to do with the gun then is it! If you got more of a particular model being used in most comps then it's more highly likely that the winner will be using that model! Not science is it realy
