So completely agree. I have one it's close to 40yrs old now. Damn hard to believe. I run somewhere around 500 - 750 rounds a month in the summer months and it just keeps snapping them out like it just came out of the shop yesterday.

Love using my Dads old Miroku black,,it took him to a AA Grade shot, I'm now using it with solid scores. I'm also about to buy my own sporter with adjustable rib. Can't wait to bring her home 😀😀

I love Miroku’s. Their value for money is second to none. I have both a Miroku MK10 Sporter (30” barrels, invector plus chokes, adjustable comb) and a MK 38 Trap gun (32” barrels, adjustable comb, Briley C300 thin wall chokes). They only change I have made is to add a Kick-eez pad to both guns.

Fantastic guns. Had an 800DW Skeet in the 70s. Gave the game away for 30years and now have a taken it up again. Last year I managed to find a mint Miroku 6000 Grade 1 skeet gun for $600.00 NZ. Absolutely love it. As you say, you will never break one.

Hi David. Been watching TSC for a while now. After seeing this I'm tempted to pick a MK38 Trap later on this week. I was worried about older guns but you have explained it all excellently and now I feel confident enough to go and get it. Keep up the good work!!!

I've just bought a MK70 grade 5. RRP is £3200 but retails 2700 to 2900. If they were 5k in 2018 they are considerably cheaper now. A beautiful gun.

The only thing I would say is that early Miroku's of their own design, (like the ORE) not the later Browning design, used leaf springs instead of coil springs. If one breaks, and they can do, it's a job for a gunsmith to make a new one which can be costly as spares are few and far between these days. Where as the later Miroku's with coil springs can be cheaply fixed at home.

My 3800SW 30" Trap with Grade 4 wood is most lovely. Nigel Teague after fitting his famous chokes (I only shoot Sporting) said if I was to sell give him first refusal as mine was superb & tight. Bought new only 42 years ago! Only complaint, trigger pulls. Now worked on & cured. Best value shotgun by far. Can someone tell me how to hit the clays!
@gileswelham26194 жыл бұрын
Thoroughly enjoyed the video! I use a 725 G3 UK Hunter 32" made by Miroku. A fabulous gun that's improved my shooting. Just one thing though, Miroku MK70 Grade 5 RRP is around £3000-3200......Not 5k!
@kirkyandka77126 жыл бұрын
Agree with 99% of what you say, however Miroku's do go wrong. The firing pin tips have a habit of chipping. Other than that they're brilliant.

Very interesting, as a novice shooter I keep getting told Silver Pigeon but these seem great, the 38 seems like a gun I could use for all my clay lessons. Does a fixed choke hamper your learning curve though?

I am seriously looking at getting a new MIROKU MK38 12G Grade 1 Sporter as a starter for me and it's more in my budget. Is it only the wood which is the biggest difference between the Grades? Would you recommend potentially buying a 2nd hand MIROKU to get a higher grade?

Interesting that David suggests that the MK38 Trap is also suitable for sporting. Is David suggesting beginners use a gun choked 3/4 & full for Sporting clays?

Im thinking of buying so my choices are Browning 325 grade 1, Miroku mk 38 grade 1 or Browning GTS. I prefer to shoot DTL but shoot the occasional sporting round any advise please David.

Fantastic review! However, I have to disagree in one point: Just this week, I found an old and very battered Miroku Trap gun, Monte Carlo stock, beavertail foreend, 13 milimeter rib on the 30" barrels. Both full chokes, of course. Fantastic pointability, swing and balance! Comes to the shoulder so naturally and easily... wonderful! The only BIG issue: the gun is so worn, has seen so much use, that there is some play in the lock-up. It has shot loose. Too bad. Poor old workhorse. Pricetag's good, though: 330 Euros. What I'm saying is: the Mirokus are fanatastic guns, indeed. But they DO wear out and become loose. Takes time -- but it will happen.

likely cause they never greased the hinge pin or gave it clean now and then.

Point taken, although in a sense these guns have been 'on test' at the shooting school for years, and David is presenting the results.
@1valg7 жыл бұрын
I have no doubt that they have earned their keep at the school, but a "test" on a worldwide channel should include more facts about stock measurements, chokes, trigger, barrel length a.s.o. I like the idea of presenting them, so i´m not trying to put it down :-)

Yes, good idea, I’ll try to get more tech specs into the gun tests :-)

Nobody is allowed to buy gun for shooting, hunting, self defense privately, freely and bring guns & cartridges back home or anywhere. In the world, except North Korea, it’s special, can not be counted in comparison; implemented the strictest control of gun area is Taiwan 🇹🇼 ROC, (a main island with some small islands aside the mainland China) same as martial law implemented period, very strict restricted, many things are prohibited! the second is Japan 🇯🇵. Although Miroku is near, regarding this topic are useless at all. NO Individual is allowed! Pitiful people!
