Doffs: Since you are concerned about your squishiness, look for a Hazard Systems Officer that adds DR when you activate Brace for Impact. Of less relavence, there is a Shield Distribution Officer that restores shield with Brace for Impact. Just bumps survival a bit and Brace For Impact should come up pretty often with Intelligence Agent Attache'. Builds I love to fly; - T6 Endeavor Ba'ul AP Tank build. - T6 Fleet Vor'ral with kitbashed pieces from the Kamarag and Vor'cha. General DEW build. - Malem (soon to be Fleet T6 T'Varro) Plasma Torp using the 3-piece console from the T1, T5 and T6 variants. - Fleet Nautilus Sci Torp build. - T6 Pilot Risian Corvette with everything set to Ridiculous Speed. Auggie did an awesome avoidance tank version. Mine is so fast as to be unusuable. I was outrunning people that had engaged Evasive Maneuvers. So fast that if I looked down to click on a non-spambar ability I would leave the 10km weapon range. But oh so fun. - T5U Romulan Dyson Science Destroyer DEW-Sci with a Dyson theme build. Hits way harder than I expected. Looks great doing it.

I am still working on my reps but I love doing a beam overload build with what I got on this ship. I also use the agony torp with spread. When it procs the high yield at the same time as I hit the spread it is insane.

43:07 IIRC, Fire at Will did a lot more damage when it first came out. Then it got nerfed about a year later. Devs said it was done to keep it balanced with the other build types, but most folks think it was a bit too much.

I really enjoy flying my latest ship. The fleet Intel assault cruiser. Not all phase weapons are epic, i have 52 on all resistances, don't use fire at will, but beams overload. I have never died once in the aprox 6 months i have flown this ship... so i am pretty happy with this thing.

Last night, I got as much of the setup as I saw, and could read, I am still short a few things - but I tuned it as close to yours as I could, and went on the Deuterium Surplus run. All the ships I fought were equal to my level, and this build really works out. I didn't expect to kill so fast, and though there were a couple of times I got close to being blown up, the subspace modulator helped out, and though I wasn't tracking a parse, it was very impressive on how fast they were getting destroyed. Thank you very kindly for this. I am also still wondering about the deflector, if it said EPS or EPG. I asked about it on the Mat'Ha raptor build. The text was too dark to see if it was EPS or EPG. Let me know when you can. Have fun in the game.

to fix that ocd issue with empy active doff slots i always use the k13 doffs that make a vary small all skill point boost (+2 skill points all skills on use of boff powers of a specific rank) max of 5 stacks and each stack lasts 10 seconds i think off the top of my head.

Yes, it came on the Bajoran Interceptor and I still have that ship from the event. Ofc I have played since I did Closed Beta days LOL. I have stopped playing a couple of times but always came back after a month or so. I love Omega. I quit FAW and now stick with BO.

43:50 Did you notice after you defeated the last ship you can still see yellow damage numbers flying out of it. Those agony phaser dots are killer! I'll follow this build as best I can, I'm a FTP player so I can't afford a lot of the stuff you show.

The MW X fleet version of this ship is one of my favorites and every one of my alts has one. I enjoy phasers since there's so many sets that go with that energy type, but usually end up with disruptors. Still, I like the theme and will give it a go. Nice video as usual +1

Idk if I missed it or if you consider it to be not as good as others but I was surprised that the "Redirecting Arrays" starship trait was absent from a fire at will build. It was my understanding it was very strong for this type extending fire at will by up to 15 sec.

Its ok, but only went fighting enemies that put DOT on you like plasma fires..... Entwined Tactical Matrix is a much better way to guarantee fire at will is up 100% of the time.

I would go with the Mycelial or a Elite Thoron-Infused Singularity Cores with an AMP modifier from your fleet spire. As far as I know there is not an equivilant to the Deuterium core.

I've been trying to understand "Entwined Tactical Matrices" -- and I'm still not sure how it would work for me . Example : one of my current faves (for the last year or so) has been the Fleet Miranda (Soyuz Advanced Light Cruiser) , upon which I can slot both FAW3 and TS3 . Since I prefer to do an 'alpha strike' , with FAW3 breaking down the shields of multiple enemies , and TS3 doing most of the damage , which leaves me to swing around and pick off what's left of the NPC's (if any are left) -- WHAT WOULD I GAIN by say punching TS3 before beginning the attack , only to have my FAW 3 disabled , and replace by FAW1 -- which would lead to less damage to NPC shields -- which would lead to less of an impact by TS3 . Simply put, I do not see the rationale behind not opening up with FAW3+TS3 . Perhaps I should ask in a different way : is "Entwined Tactical Matrices" more effective on ships that do not have two Lt.Commander Tactical slots (or Commander+Lt or Commander +Lt.Commander) ? Is it better for ships that have a Lt.Com Tac slot and something less ? On the purchasing side -- I have a T6 ship coupon, but I have been hesitant to give the Gagarin a try, as I'm not sure if that coupon is an account unlock , or per character unlock .

p.s. I'm not sure what resolution you're recording on now , but on a 1080p monitor , the text comes out almost unreadable (small+at times washed out) . Tried KZbin at 1080p+1440p , but the result was the same . :/

Regardless of the rank, you get a free rank 1 of the other. So you activate FAW 3 (or FAW 1 or 2) you get a free torp spread 1, you activate a torp spread 3 (or 1 or 2) you get a free FAW 1....

@@MCStu -- So is my conclusion correct, that this isn't very helpful for while that can field 2 x Lt.Com , or Com Tactical ? I've looked as you activated FAW on your action bar, and your torp power grayed out, so I started counting 1 avocado, 2 avocado, etc ... , and I'm pretty sure I got to around 10 avocados (or more) before you could use your torp power . Is that ~10 second lockout worth the "free" TS1 that you got ? Would you have not done more damage with your own (higher rank) torp power ? A perpetual FAW sounds nice, I'm just not sure if the opening salvo of , let's say TS3+FAW1 is better then TS3+FAW3 . I can see this being good for a torp boat, but I'm not sure about the FAW+torp boat .

It is situational but by and large, you get better performance by sticking to a type and leaning into it. If you were to mix, make sure you have Tac slots to support both types (or run Entwined Tactical Matrices from C-Store Gagarin). Even then, I would run Dual Beam Banks, Dual (Heavy) Cannons, Omni Beams and Turrets. If you mix beam arrays and cannons, some of your weapons are going to be "dead slots." When you face a target, your rear weapons will be useless. When you broadside, your cannons won't be able to hit the target. All of this is entirely performance-based. If you want to mix for head canon reasons, go ahead. Just be prepared for your performance to be comparablely lower than focusing on a type.

I used an Epic Token on a Bajoran Interceptor, a long time ago. It's a hodgepodge of phaser cannons, a beam, a omni, a dark matter torp, a turret, lorca's, so on. It's a mess, could be better, but it's fun and looks cool in combat.
