Back in the late 90's, I randomly spotted Glenn on the street as him and a couple members of the band were coming out of Subway. They had a show a couple blocks away. As he was coming out the door, I put my up signalling a dap up or handshake....which he totally obliged. I then walked about half a block with them and I remember asking him if they're going to play older material to which he replied "we play everything man". Anyway, he was totally cool in my experience, so I take with a grain of salt all the people who say he's a dick when they meet him. Maybe he was having a bad day, maybe the person meeting him came off as a douche.

Some fans fail to acknowledge that MSD members are people just like the rest of us. They have their own personality quicks and good days and bad. As fan's we have to acknowledge that we have no idea what's going on in their personal lives and that they could have just gotten the worst news in the world that day and (try as they might) that's gonna come out (in some way) when you meet them at signing or after a show.. Not to mention people have different personalities and may be anxious and awkward around strangers and I would very much feel the same if I were in their shoes. Doyle is known to struggle with social anxiety and that very much came through when I met him at a signing during the GF days, though Glenn on the other hand was extremely cordial and talked a bit with me about the Unholy Passion lp I was having signed as well as Samhain and it was a great experience ill always remember.. Most have fond memories of meeting Jerry as he is a very gregarious kinda guy and people love interacting with those types of personalities..Glenn has a notorious reputation for being difficult and as a fellow Cancer who's moods can change like a light switch, I can more than identify with... .
