Keep in mind this is the least track-capable version of the Dark Horse as well. Unfortunelty the EU cars dont get the handling pack (due to EU pedestrian protection regs) which having driven both, makes a huge difference- The HP cars get better aero, more negative camber, 305/315 width Trofeo RS tires, different chassis tuning for mag ride..etc. The brakes are really amazing. I`m a EU citizen and I love US cars. They are not as refined and polished as the EU counterparts, but bang for the buck ...? I think they do a pretty good job. I thought americans had a better opinion of their rides, because in Europe people tend to look down on them like being inferior for some reason. Especially handling. But that story might had been told in the 1970s and persisted to this day. Although it wasn`t true at all. Motorweek tested Camaro Z28 against Porsche 928 sometime in the 80s and, despite Camaro had some flaws from the factory, it won the fastest lap. One other guy drove a Firebird (fourth gen) as a drift car and said he had never seen anything like it. It handled perfect, was predictable, very solid chassis ... What I`m trying to say is there are lots of great US cars aside from Corvettes and CTSes. But how do you say about that stuff ...? Underrated?

It's probably better to go with a base 5.0/ gt and build it up how you want it. Only reason to get a Darkhorse over the standard gt/5.0 is the built motor ready for supercharging. Darkhorse comes with the same motor as the gt500, but na.

How would you compare the Dark Horse to the Mach 1 ? 🇺🇸💪🏼🐎

I have seen that Ford made A new Mustang that has the record on nürburgring . It would be nice if you get the chance to drive that Mustang to. 😉

Very low top speed for a powerful car, kinda weird. 250 on limiter in 5th :/

Bit disappointed by regulations. Had to cancel my order because you’d be paying about AUD120k for what seemed to be a GT with an appearance pack. You’d need to spend an extra 10-15k+ to get it to us spec in regards to handling. No fixes for lack of power, whilst retaining warranty and now just delays on delivery, love the car but just hate how ford AU handled the release.

Car & Driver “If you'd rather abdicate a degree of driving enjoyment, the 10-speed automatic ($1595) will certainly produce quicker acceleration and lap times. During our drive, the shift logic in Track mode was smart enough to keep the car in the correct gear for most corners, and it made satisfyingly quick gear changes at 7500 rpm (the manual has an annoying soft limiter 250 rpm earlier than the indicated redline).”

The digital dash was so much better in the previous gen, no clue what they were thinking with this “update”.

Misha, go buy one supercharge it, upgrade suspension, handling, tires and weight and you have yourself a homemade lite version of the GTD lol

how would you describe the difference in experience between this and a Euro coupe the same price. not better lateral or better brakes or long gears as such but that fuzzy feeling when a car really tickles your fancy.
