Mishimoto Oil Catch Can Install | 2018-21 Honda Accord

In this video I show you how to install a Mishimoto Oil Catch Can on my 2019 Honda Accord Sport 2.0T. The purpose of this oil catch can is to help collect contaminated oil and prevent it from going back into the intake manifold and creating carbon build up on the intake valves and ruining the engines lifespan and overall performance over a period of time.

Its the best protection you can do for your direct injection engine. Don't hesitate, pull the trigger and get yours installed. Your engine will thank you in the long run 👍

I just bought a 2021 Accord EXL with a 1.5L engine. I've heard that the 1.5 has oil dilution in the CR-V and Civic. Will this help with that issue? Also, how often do you check it? Thank you for the video.

The 1.5T is notorious for oil dilution. This will help eliminate any contaminated oil from re entering the engine and creating carbon buildup on your intake valves. I reset my trip meter and then I wait til about 500 miles and I check mine. Usually there isn't much in it by then so I can probably go til 1000 miles. It all depends on how you drive. I also installed one on my girlfriends 2020 civic 1.5T and it does a great job catching nasty oil for both of our cars. Highly recommend getting one 👍
