Levi the Lion is one of the coolest guys there is. A really nice dude who will stay hours after a show to meet with the fans. When I went to see them and August Burns Red the only member of Miss May I who stayed behind was Levi. And I loved him for it.

Song made me so sad. It reminded me of my dad, who passed away a couple years ago, and I was 15 at the time. I'm probably going to make a video in remembrance of him using this song. My fav metalcore song ever. I've been listening to this genre for 15 yrs right from Killswitch, Aild, Bfmv, Trivium days but this to me is the catchiest melodic metalcore songs i've ever heard in these 15 yrs. The 1st time i listened to this song i ended up repeating it for more than 1 hr.

The fact that they are actually soloing means they are growing as artists. One of the few bands in my life where I actually really like the direction they are taking. Music is more than about constant screaming and breakdowns. I can't wait to see them live in NYC in may for the third time!
@SaxlRose9 жыл бұрын
Some of these comments I just shake my head at. You guys think they just suddenly lost their style. You don't think they know exactly what they're doing? They switched up aspects of their sound in order to appeal to a different audience, a bigger audience. Look at the fruits of it. Mayhem festival, all those big ass festivals overseas, touring with bigger bands, AND this album charted better than all of their previous ones. I just saw a tweet yesterday with them on TV lol come on people. Moves like that HAVE to be made for bands in order for them to keep making music at all. If this is the music they want to make, and you're a true fan, you should support them regardless. If they wanted to turn around and make another Apologies album or Monument album, they could. But if they did, they'd fade out along with all the other bands that copy those albums (love both of those albums btw, and At Heart). They'd be a victim of their own creation. Instead they branch out and try something new and exciting for them with one of the biggest producers and instead some of you just criticize. Mad respect to MMI. Wait until you hear what they have coming next. They make great music, they kill it live and they're all awesome guys who show love to all their fans, young and old. Show some damn support for these dudes. - Tony (Listen For The Light)

When will people learn that band's don't want to write the same album twice? I'm actually baffled by people saying "write another album like AAFTW" and "you guys are shit now". They wrote their two first albums with Joey Sturgis who despite being a good producer, records every generic core band. Miss May I are getting ready to release their second album that's a REAL metal album; real vocals, real drums, original riffs and chorus', guitar solos etc. They've recorded their most recent albums with legends who have recorded bands like Machine Head and Pantera, yet people are asking them to re-write an album that had programmed drumming, auto-tuned vocals and revolved around breakdowns? Don't get me wrong, I love every MMI album, but songs like this and songs from At Heart are the real metal songs that sound good live and will be remembered; they're something unique. I for one am glad that Miss May I have stepped away from the generic metalcore scene, and have become what a real metal band should be. I'm not one to judge other people by music taste, but if you can't at least appreciate that MMI are maturing as musicians and as a metal band, then you really have no hope. Just because there's more to their music than breakdowns now, all you core/scene kids get your rainbow coloured panties in a twist.

Just got into this band and this is the first album I've heard so far and I'm digging it. I see a lot of people complaining about the sound quality and the lack of breakdowns. Personally as a metal veteran and former avid black metal fan sound quality doesn't mean a whole lot to me lol secondly there was a nicely placed break down in the middle of this song. I guess the entire song needs to be one giant break down? I hate that sh*t. Good song from a quality band. Looking forward to checking out more stuff.

I honestly think this band would benefit so much if the bassist didn't sing, or at least sing as often. His voice just doesn't match the weight the instruments bring. Jordan Jimenezj Yeah it definitely did seem a lot less grating on that album and actually nicely fitting on the majority of the songs but for some reason it just throws me out of the song on their newer material, the least he could do is experiment more with his vocal techniques rather than pumping out the typical metalcore chorus all the time
