One thing I’ve always admired about this type of music is yes it was predominantly white audience but I’ve felt so welcomed as a brown man. I was a part of something during this phase. I remember going to a festival and a group of black guys (clearly not knowing anything about the music and environment) were there and no one made them uncomfortable. We were all family and we are all together. I used to be very ignorant but this music expanded my mind

I bet there is a “snare-bomb” on that part to give it that much of an impact. Joey Sturgis has a few videos on them and I believe he produced this. Sounds sick. If you listen to the snare in the choruses, there is more reverb on them compared to the verse.

The metalcore cliches are strong with this one. Bur seriously, this has got to be the best band on Rise records. They're the only band that actually know how to play riffs.

Listen to Dance Gavin Dance and say this is the only band on the label who can write riffs. They're definitely the best on the label imo

Easily one of the most bad ass music videos/songs to date. That intro gives me chills every time.

+Collin Griffin Too bad. You missed all the great bands (in their prime time). The post-hardcore scene (which coincided with the emo phase) seem to be dying after 2009. Nowadays, PH is becoming soft AF. Anyway, this song came out was while I was a sophomore at college.
