It's amazing how a band can change their sound so much in just nine years. The First Two Miss May I albums were more or less based upon bands like Darkest Hour, As Blood Runs Black, The Faceless, Haste the Day, It Dies Today, and The Black Dahlia Murder. But At Heart and Rise of the Lion take so many influences with the metal genre. I hear the Killswitch Engage, As I Lay Dying, Parkway Drive, August Burns Red, Lamb of God, At the Gates and In Flames sound so much. Plus you gotta give this band so much credit. One of the few Metalcore bands in this day that's not just pure chug bullshit. I love how they always try something different each time. It's beautiful. Can't wait for the fifth album.

Totally dude. I don't think they've evolved as much as a lot of bands but sometimes its good to stay true to your sound. I get why so many people hate on metalcore, but sometimes i wish they would listen with an open mind. They would clearly see that this band is way different. Much more technical and way heavier than most metalcore these days. I think that whether you like their music or not, what they do is really respectable. Cant wait to see 'em in July

I think they changed alot simply because they went from being nearly deathcore from the first two albums, To a more Heavy Metal sound with metalcore elements thrown in. At Heart is a strictly divided album with the fans. But I think they gained even more respect with this one. Since they've toured with bands like Killswitch Engage, Trivium, Five Finger Death Punch, August Burns Red and Parkway Drive once this album came out. Plus opening up for Cannibal Corpse, Avenged Sevenfold and Korn at Mayhem is something to be proud of. Have fun at Warped man.

So now I'm coming to the realization of why everyone treated me differently including my siblings and "dad", why I never fit in, and trying keeping a straight face for my kids who aren't old enough for the truth. These guys are awesome! Saw them in concert and they have so much energy and believe it or not but they're the nicest guys! The bouncers were all strict about not letting people talk to them after but they all wanted to come out and meet the fans so they came out to us it was too sick
