Namibia 🇳🇦 was very impressive this year. So proud of my African ladies Cameroon 🇨🇲, Namibia 🇳🇦 and South Africa 🇿🇦. They did perform.

Indian representative never had out-of-the-box concept gowns in the recent years. Even Harnaaz and Adline's gown are beautiful, but not as striking as Catriona or Zozibini's gown. I wished the organization behind Miss Diva find some designers who could showcase a "True Indian concept" to each Indian representatives gowns. By the way, I would like to comment as well with Bryoni's final gown. It kind of remind me of Miss Haiti's gown in Miss Universe 2016, which the woman eventually ended up as 1st Runner Up. But to be honest, Bryoni's final gown is more better because of the color.

This mentality is so stupid. If they wanted to leave her out like you believe, she wouldn't have made it to the top 20 at all. She was left out from top 10 because her swimsuit performance was weak and lackluster and not because she's a runner up from her national competition. Were all the girls who didn't make it to top 10 runners up at their nationals? Level up your brains.

Judges were fair. Her swimsuit walk needed more energy and technique. Her body was slim and not as toned. I also found that the swimsuit that she chose distracted from her beauty and was not the best choice for her gorgeous skin tone.

But hey, it is in the past now, we all know this was the inclusion edition. Or do you think Nepal had an amazing swimsuit round, for example? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Hi Dani. Loved this video. Especially because your expertise really shines in these gown commentaries. Your expertise always shines!!! 😊 but with evening gowns being such a huge part of preliminaries and finals I always wonder after you do this annual video. And you point out all the things that would work better on the contestants. Why are there so many countries not realizing their contestants full potential. I would love a video to understand what might be happening behind the scenes that contributes to wrong gown choices etc. I would love to learn more about this. As always. Love your channel. And I love that you are promoting products. The lamp. And now the counselling. To improve mental health. Such a huge need. I am an advocate of switching the gowns… bring two final night gowns or stay at home… also.. I think USA red gown was better than the blue… great video as always.

Hi Dani, i totaly agreed with you on INDIA's gwon choices, most of the pagent bloegrs have been pointing out of fashion and styling of India, but its seems Miss India Org are not listing them, also here in india, the pagent lovers have been upset to see the red gwon which is allmost same replica of her prelim gwon (Dark Blue), and because of that many people are not happy with her style, also i had doubt lake of a fashion style with perticular indian deligets but after seen these gwon choices from past 3 years, its very clear that we are not focusing on styling in terms of fashion, so its sad to see when you have stonge deligets who are incredibaly beautiful, well spoken, smart and ready to walki away with crown, but due to the style and choices of the fashin, they are not visibal inough on the satge among others, i wish MIss Universe India ORg (LIva Miss Diva Universe) will think of this, learn something from this mistake and put their the best efforts to get the right result of fashin and style.

If they do, then the local designer will get more visibility and opportunities, Vietnam is already doing this with National Costume, and thats why such a countries have more fan base, but you know how thing rune here in India right?

Fun fact: The same designer, Jesus Alvarenga, did the gowns for Namibia, Denmark, Costa Rica, The Bahamas, and Aruba, which is why you'll notice similarities in how the gowns look.

I think MU should make an evening gown competition in the top 20 first (similar to 2004-2005) if they are serious in choosing a lady that is really classy, and with personal taste....and it will give the chance to countries especially Europeans and Asians to advance. The problem with swimsuit as the first competition, you will expect a lot of Latinas to advance to top 10...and we all know that Latinas are not the most stylish and most elegant when it comes to evening gowns

@@DaniWalker they should! a MU is always dressed the whole time 365 days of her reign and elegance, sophistication, personal style, personality and character are all the traits that we are expecting from a MU....that's why they have to put an emphasis on the evening gown segment as compared to swimsuit. Does a MU always wear swimwear during her reign, or during a press conference?

I'm totally on board with this. Gowns are different from each ladies, unlike swimsuit where they almost have similar style. Also, the ladies wore the same swimsuit in both prelims and finals.

Actually, having evening gown first may let full figured and burkini wearing contestants a chance to move into the next round. This year, we know Nepal, Pakistan and Portugal didn’t have a chance.

Mariana and Isabella have different heights and body measurements,switching gowns wouldn't be possible.Rumour has it Mariana was problematic and rebelled against her team.She and her designer decided to change her prelims gown without her national director's approval.Allegedly Magali Febles was shocked when she saw her queen wearing a gown she hadn't seen before.

Rumor has it that the gown Miss Dominican Republic was supposed to wear was the one El Salvador wore. Multiple people mentioned that on IG and some lives and even Miss Colombia mentioned it on an interview recently. The national director of DR denied it but since she prepared Miss El Salvador and there are rumors she will be directing that franchise from now on, kind of make sence and people mentioned that Mariana was off, not herself during competition.

MUSA did Breyoni dirty… 2020 when Natasha competed (or whenever) i felt you could really see the politics involved at MU but this time MUSA screwed things up. Breyoni improved so much but i feel they could have done more for her, she could have handled it- training wise. To compete in Latin America you need sexappeal and while MUSA tried to they really fell short.

Having a top 20 made many contestants to be complacent that they do not need to bring the best during the preliminaries. Never understand why they would wear a #2 choice gown for the competition when the gap between scores are is so narrow on who makes the cut and who does not.

Alot of the girls make this mistake they use a gown and let the most beautilful gown for the final but if you dont qualify, it is worthless using a beautilful gown in the final if you dont qualify. I think in the preliminary competition thats were you should use the most beautilful gown to qualify.

I actually disagree that the girls should wear their best gown at prelims. Miss Universe has had a trend of crowning women that have changed their gowns for finals. I think it could be that most of the judging panel in the final is the same from the preliminary, and they are surprised by the change of gown, which can lead to a higher score.

Her gowns were beautiful but I agree she may have looked better in brighter colors. She could have been one of the few to be able to pull off and orange hued gown, or perhaps bright green or bright pink although those are not winning gown colors.
