A LOT of you have been asking for this one! Its my recap of the music video episode which also happens to be Azmarie's elimination. So much juice in this one that I had to do it in two parts!

I will never get off the hypocrisy of telling Azmarie to always remain on brand as being androgynous and then sending her home for not wearing a fake bum. Also, the whole infantilisation of Eboni was gross. This cycle is so confusing cause it has some of my favourite personalities - all the Brit girls plus Az and Laura - but Kelly and the vibe is so damn trash.

100% agree. Plus, as a girl that likes to try big hair when I can, I always feel childish in pigtails and abort that plan right away. Even dual braids feels more mature. It's pretty creepy the message that's sending that not only is she young anyway, but we need to exaggerate her youth to make her appealing... despite mature styles being put on her. It's like they wanted a doll or a toddler and tiara scenario with reduced guilt and criticism.

Controversial opinion but I think they used Az's lack of commitment as a scapegoat to eliminate her because they would never let a butch girl get particularly far. I agree with you about the pigtails. I also agree they eliminated AzMarie prematurely but I don't think it's because she's "butch". I still find AzMarie overall very feminine, and Kim Stoltz in cycle 5 was "butch" and she made it to the top 5.

Seeing this challenge made me realize that even though ANTM had some influence on Rupaul’s Drag Race when it comes to structure, I think maybe RPDR influenced the modern ANTM where they tried to make every contestant into stars instead of models.

Azmarie was eliminated because she refused to be exploited or broken by the competition and judges. It's like you said, she exudes a lot of strength, she wears it basically like the clothes she models, with ease, and I think that bothered the judges, and producers. That's it. I'm loving your channel. ❤️. Your season was one of my absolute favorites. Because of the Brits. 🇬🇧
