I've become so masculine after abusive relationships and dating cheap guys. It's so hard to lean back into being feminine when you have to be the one footing the bill or fighting to defend yourself. I'm exhausted. I used to be so cute and feminine and was told by losers I was "high maintenance" for dressing nicely and owning a condo downtown. They actually judged me as high maintenance for my self care! It's not like they paid for the condo and clothes. They were even too cheap to pay for dates!!!

Aw *hugs* what they were saying is "you're out of my league, and I want you to lower yourself so I wont have to step up and be the man you deserve. Once your femininity is gone I can use you". I honestly feel this. I’ve been on 5-6 dates and not a single man paid for mine. My ex used to live with me and he never paid a single bill even tho he worked. The guy before him didn’t even have a job and was to lazy to go get his own food. Women are losing their femininity because we have to make up for the men we don’t have. I’ve grew up admiring very over sexual type female rappers and women like that, but I have notice that those women usually date trash men. In my opinion if you want to act like that, that’s is not my business nor concern. Hey Michelle, your advice on being feminine on a date is *gold*. As a man I will choose the very feminine woman every single time, and I'm sure many men will relate. There are a few important additional points I'd like to contribute from personal experience. 1. The man's main role on a date is to *lead* the date to a happy conclusion. Especially masculine men. And the woman's job is to be feminine and let him lead. Most of you women know that intuitively but it's not always obvious for some. 2. Some women *specially* enjoy to see the man spending on them. I subscribe to the idea that men are givers and women receivers... But don't let your value defined by how much he spends on you. It's a turn off. 3. Regarding the chase dynamics. You are absolutely right that the man should initially be the chaser (in a sexy, non-needy way). But very often the chasing dynamics naturally reverses after the first or second date, and it's a normal sign of interest from the woman. If he is a high value man, he is used to see this change in dynamics. If you withhold it, he may interpret it as a lack of interest. I would advise a healthy balance in the chasing. Another remark. I have absolutely no problem if the woman becomes talkative. It's a sign of comfort. In this case I would sit back, let her talk and listen. What you are doing on your channel is great, and I have a vested interest in seeing you succeed at helping your fellow sisters becoming more feminine! Take care.

As a cancer sign I was born feminine these things came naturally to me. The truth is your partner should be your best friend. I think women should be themselves if you are not necessarily “feminine” and this isn’t how you genuinely are and you are not being true to yourself you will not keep it up. When I was younger, late teens early twenties, I didn’t tell my boyfriend that I didn’t like watching sports, I was dating a football player. Watching a game of football is torture to me, so I didn’t keep it up. I have friends that are not into makeup, clothes, hair, opposite of me and in healthy relationships. If you are forcing feminine traits or forcing anything that isn’t natural to you, you are not being authentic. Once you are in a relationship, you will likely stop the acting. You want a relationship built on substance. I think women should love themselves, respect themselves, and know their worth. Be true to yourself and if he is genuinely for you it will be.
@drmichelledaf5 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comment love, but femininity has nothing to do with a zodiac sign... although the sign may indicate that you may be prone to certain feminine traits. Femininity is much more than hair, make-up and outward beauty. True femininity lies within your behavior. And Western society has reprogrammed women, and it is hurting us a whole. It goes without saying that women are allowed to be whoever they want to be, but the purpose of this series is to equip and empower women to explore their feminine side. To use it to enhance all areas of their lives, because it will and many women do not know this. Many women truly do not know who they are and need to stop being told to be themselves when they truly do not know what that means. The point of this series is to shed light on (their true selves) femininity. And yes I agree, your partner being your best friend is ideal, but many woman cannot even get a date or have a stable relationship because they are uneducated on the ways in which the human psyche work and how femininity can save their relationship. I will dive deeper into the importance of femininity in future videos. Thanks for watching! Much love!

I did this always with my ex. He loved it. Told him what I wanted, or asked his opinion. Then let him “hunt” and acquire the meal by ordering. Seemed to make him feel more manly. I let him deal with travel logistics like trip planning and hotel booking etc. too. If I was with him basically all I did was wait to picked up and taken from point a to b. We should def avoid being in the lead in all these small ways too. It also means the subject of contributing financially never comes up because as the person in charge obviously he provides.

I'm proud to say just about all of these standards, I've always lived by. The one that stood out the most and that was natural to me was showing them I was considerate of the bill. Even though they've always made it clear money wasn't an object, I asked what they were going to order, what they recommend and I stayed within that budget. Showing them that you are considerate and thoughtful even when money isn't an object, it opens the door for their generosity. Never fails! Being newly single after 11 years, things are very different and I must adapt. Like when you mentioned being mysterious and not telling your whole life story. I don't overtalk or try to impress, but I try to run down all my rules and regulations and what I'm not going to do! My whole family dynamic...Blah blah blah. Never aggressive or loud but just too unnecessary. It was fine 11 plus years ago, but me being older and wiser, It's just not feminine always talking about what I won't put up with and he hasn't displayed any of the negative behaviors. I've fully accepted that I'll be single forever, but I'm cultivating me just in case God has other plans.

What you said about money is spot on. I saw some comments from other ladies saying they would leave the guy straightaway if they refused to pay the bill. It's just common decency to split the bill or pay on the next date especially if it's your first date. Has nothing to do with being male/female thing.

Dating is so hard. Why are there so many rules???? I feel like I want to be single. 🙄🙄🙄 And I feel I won't be able to be myself. Myself is nothing like this. Then all of a sudden we are in a relationship and now he's wondering why my voice is different, why I laugh loudly, why I'm not miss prim and proper.
@oyindal.63044 жыл бұрын
I think by slowly showing other sidrs of you, he'll get more comfortable with your more informal side. We all have different facets.
@Fatiinextdoor3 жыл бұрын
Girl I relate. But starting to understand this basically it’s saying a man has to actually be worthy of your true self before you show it to him. You normally laugh loudly. Don’t do it in the beginning, tone it down a little when he starts to get to know you and you laugh loudly at a joke he will feel happy that he was the man that got that side of you. Instead of him feeling like it’s something normal that he could even disregard. Hope this helps
@misselle14303 жыл бұрын
This means you are acting while dating. He will not like it if you suddenly have a bald head and you laughing loudly when for a 6 months you had long hair and laughed so lightly .... be honest you wouldn't like it if a man played you like that too. So BE YOURSELF GF .. laugh loud and snort n say sorry after ... the right one will like it xx

Hi Michelle! I am not part of your target demographic , but I love and appreciate how you're giving such a positive message. It really is about self respect! I have been really resistant to this type of message in the past, and it took me a long time to realize that the resistance came from 1) internalized mysoginy that western society teaches us 2) fear of attracting unwanted/dangerous male attention 3) not wanting to appear arrogant/threatening to men and 4) deep rooted fear of being a burden. Thank you for your content!

When you go through many dating advice videos from different gurus and youtube influencers, you understand there are steps and certain standards. However, not all men are raised in the same way or have the same education. As the dating pool is quite dry lately especially in SF where the majority of men are boys with money and less in manners. Opening car doors, pulling the chair, etc. I believe I have to request before they even do it. Especially, to Asian men (my preference) even Asian American, some even said I am too demanding. Then, when you meet the man with great educations plus manners, he is a playboy (not all however most of them) who does not want to settle. No wonder many of my girlfriends who are great at their works (lawyers, doctors, restaurant owners, and some bloggers), beautiful, alluring, yet either were cheated or single by choice.

Can we talk femininity after you're in the relationship? What does it look at when you're at the wake up together and throw your sweats on? I love my dreses and heels but that isn't the chores around the house or lazy Sunday morning look.

Annika Miniña keep going! Your vibe attracts your tribe. The more you do it, the more effortless it becomes for you. In turn it will be normal for you and you will attract the right people or person at that point. The better you feel the better you look! Keep going! Keep going!
@rachellerockel5 жыл бұрын
Annika Miniña change your motivation. You have to do it for yourself, not for a man. Valuing yourself will effect every area of your life in a positive way. Your whole vibe will lift. It’s also not just about appearance but how you interact with the world - your smile, mannerisms, etc. keep learning, growing and glowing sis. We got this!
@pamelaisaac40725 жыл бұрын
Also make sure you’re going to different places alone and not always in groups. Men are intimidated when they see a group of women and tend to not approach. Go to different places smiling and enjoying your self (fancy restaurant, play, museum, social functions, etc) if you are their type and they are interested, they will approach. If you are not their type they will not approach. It’s okay you only need one man, just try again.

Do you mean a regular door or a car door? You can hint by saying " wow, that door was very heavy to open". But the car door will take time. During the date at some point when the time is right, you can either tell him how much you respect gentleman (then proceed to tell him what you definition of that is) and outwardly compliment gentlemen-like traits when you see others do it.
