IMO, MasakoX's What If Raditz Turned Good is a great stepping stone for making Raditz relevant again and it could have easily been the main timeline.

You hit the nail on the head 👍 I think you should also do one on Chichi. Cuz I think she had the most potential out of all the humans. She only had a little training from her father and her power was about the same as Master roshi's and she was only a little bit behind the other humans. but she hadn't had nearly the training they did she didn't train with Roshi or Korin like they did imagine if she did. she was also stronger than all the other Z fighters were at her age except Goku and Piccolo, but there aliens. if she had trained with the other great Masters as well as her heritage being the ox King's daughter she could have become the strongest human and if she had that would have affected Gohan and Goten a lot in the story.

Interesting fact: Raditz is on a list of the top 100 most searched villains of 2018, at #83. Despite his placement, it’s still awesome and hilarious to see our boy Raditz on the same list as Frieza, Cell, and other non-Dragon Ball villains

I think the concept of space is wasted in DBZ. Think about it, with Frieza and his family dead and his empire in tatters, it would've been cool to see other factions fight for control of the universe and have the Z-Fighters have to deal with them at some point. Also, Yamcha and Tien should've been developed more in Z and Super.

Don’t forget Raditz’ carcass appearance in Absalon! That is a shame they didn’t do more with this character, because he was Goku’s brother, worked with prince Vegeta as a kid, and that great hair.

Great video and nice concept. Dragonball is filled with missed opportunities and wasted characters. I mean the fact alone that Raditz dominates "what-if" Dragonball videos should be proof enough of his ocean of potential storylines. In terms of characters I would like to see discussed in other videos: 1.) Videl: She had a fantastic set-up. She was the first human we saw actually learn how to fly and Gohan even mentioned she was much stronger than her father. Yes, she's a human in a story dominated by the Saiyans, and a female no less, which Toriyama pretty much admitted he's not great at writing for, but her interactions with the crazy world of DBZ would have been great because unlike Bulma, Krillin, Tien, or Yamcha, she wasn't immersed in this aspect of the world till later in life. Also, she only got one fight in her entire run as a major character. A fight where she was utterly slaughtered before she got demoted to "Gohan's wife". There's so much more that could have been done with her. 2.) Chi-Chi: She's held up as the strongest woman in the series yet.... does next to nothing except yell at Goku. I would have like a more I dunno.... deeper exploration of Chi-Chi and what she could have done if she kept up training. Like maybe she got the Power Pole and Bansho Fan after Goku stopped using them and incorporated them in her techniques? Maybe Goku taught her the Kamehameha and Kaio-Ken since Goku believed she could handle it? In the long run of things, it may not amount to much but she would bring more to the table than just.... yelling. 3.) Tien: Obvious reasons 4.) Piccolo: Goku's first real rival and up until the Android saga kept up with the Saiyans. Now he's basically a babysitter with only a few all too brief flashes of his former glory.

At this point it’s as if Raditz was calling him “brother” because they were both Sayains. Raditz definitely should have been more relevant and an edgy assistant to the Z Fighters. Like a lesser Vegeta, but stronger than piccolo over time due to training but still with the similar personality of those two.

Damn Torriyama is really wasting good potential characters like Raditz could become an ally or a straight up more powerful enemy or just an anti hero like Vegeta was in the Cell saga and in the early Buu saga. Like they could have build up his character more and more before letting him fully join the z fighters but that was my suggestion or as a villain he could he tired of Vegeta and Nappa's Bs and only and train with others only to back stab them and give the z fighters and Vegeta and Nappa a new enemy. But hey this is just what i think.

The thing about raditz is that he has cast a long shadow over the entire story after his appearance because without him none of it would have happened in the positive way it did ( so raditz was basically the most pivotal character in the entirety of dragon ball ) raditz was also quite careful with his strength/power because when he was on screen he never actually killed anyone which shows his good heart and self control

Strange that Vegeta never brings up Raditz and Nappa. He's supposedly so upset with Frieza for killing the Saiyans but at the same time doesn't care about the ones to whom he was closest.

Because of this video you could do a what if where Raditz took no chances and killed goku and then Goku told kami to tell piccolo that he should let Raditz go and if he comes back they should be strong enough to not have to make any sacrifices ps that’s just my idea and you can make tweaks to it if you need to.

Toriyama made a world with so many interesting factors, but doesn't seem like he could actually keep up with all he made. If you look at some of the other big named mangas, they better managed the expanded world they made. Instead, DBZ introduces so much, then dropped it. The MULTITUDE of races and species on earth in DB turning to just humans in DBZ, the heavy presence of magic and mysticism replaced with just training and space, and even the forgot alien species. I'm really looking forward to this series, because Raditz was just the start of the missed opportunities in DBZ.

Originally Raditz was supposed to fight Nappa in the movie, but it was cut because there was enough run time already and there was no real point of the fight. Note: I don't know if this is true, I just heard it.
