I've been hiking in the national forests around Stockholm for many years, picking berries and chanterelles, taking photos of the seasonal changes. I've always felt safe. Two perplexing incidents happened about five years ago however They happened midday: an older fellow with "shabby" clothes was walking ahead of me (20 meters or so) and suddenly" vanished". When I got to the spot where he disappeared, I examined the bushes and surrounding fauna. There was nothing, no evidence of movement or disturbance. Two. I take photos of flora and fauna in the forests. A magnificent buck came into view during a pre- summer June day and I took several photos of the deer who seemed as fascinated by me as I was of him. I intended to edit the photos at home. When I later looked at the photos, the large deer was absent, though the background remained the same as I'd seen it. These things don't frighten me because all my life the forest has been my second home. We need to keep our eyes and ears open and trust our gut feelings however.

Yes, I have no explanation for either of these incidents and since then nothing strange has occurred. When the man disappeared, he seemed to sink into the path. I looked for news and notices about a missing person. Nothing.

Yes, it was like he was descending down a staircase, except the path was level. It wasn't scary at the time, just strange. I did look for him or signs of another trail.veering off the path. He was out of place -looking too, older, very thin, old clothes, a way of walking like he was slightly drunk. There was nothing in the news about a missing man. I kept this to myself because it's too weird. Though I told my brother about the deer that wasn't in the photo. Another incident in this area ( forest) was when I started out on a 3 kilometer trail which has a lot of day hikers. It was in the morning before my afternoon classes begin. A woman in a beige trenchcoat passed me, face to face. Normal. Then a half hour later she turned up again, facing me. She smiled. I still can't figure out how she came face to face with me the second time, not at a walking speed. Its like you meet an oncoming car twice on the same highway just a short time apart.

I pick mushrooms and have done so for 40 years. I can still remember two instances when I was positive someone was watching me. I immediately looked around and made some noise to let my friends know where I was. Before actually reuniting with my friends I had this awful dreadful feeling that was broken only when I made visual contact with my first friend. Whatever this phenomenon is, it seems to stalk the victim in areas that are really conveniently out of sight and devoid of cameras. We are so urbanized as humans that we forget just how wild 90% of this planet still is.

I like your thought about a person yelling from another dimension. The only other thing I can think of is that the yelling person is under some sort of a cloaked fabric or area, rather like a mouse trapped under a mesh strainer, where he can be picked up and transported later. I do believe it is important for folks to at least think about this possibility, as unusual as it may sound. We have had other stories here of hearing the missing person yelling, but they were also never found. Very curious, as Alice in Wonderland would have said. Thanks for all of your hard work.

There was a missing person story from the late 1800s where a young man disappeared in front of family members on their farm. They saw him then he passed into some space in front of them... (now today we'd know that to be a portal most likely.) Yet back then they'd no idea what... Sadly his relatives heard his cries for help to get him out from where he was he was terrified, then eventually he stopped crying for aid and he was never heard from again. Terrible ordeal to have happened. This was in the US also.

@@homebuddha This was an interesting read to find this morning, whilst I`m baking a couple of cakes. I also believe this has been going on since prehistory. For myself, I believe the brightest and the fittest are `borrowed` never to be returned because of their superior plasma. I`m no scientist, but I have a suspicion that many things can be done, created, made with plasma. Also, my belief has been for many years, that the beings in UFO`s are many things and known by many names. To name a few I believe they are surgeons, vulcanologists, geologists, cosmologists, creators of other intelligent beings, poison specialists, hypnotists, telepathy specialists, record keepers; as in they possess the entire history of Earth. I don`t think they are wicked, but I do think they behave for the most part like scientists, which would certainly make them appear wicked from my PERSONAL perspective. I have been thinking about these beings/ these folks for more than 50 years, so have tried to sort out my emotions to do with them, which is a chore in itself. For myself, I always decide through my gut feelings. I am an entirely visceral person. It is no good asking me what I think because my mind changes regurlarly....but asking me how I feel about thus and such can render safe decision making. I am so glad to meet a thinking/feeling person on the internet. It is good to know that people are working with their awareness, whatever be it`s origin. Enjoy the remains of the summer. I was followed by something while Pacific Rim National Park I couldn’t see it but it was there…. @@mannyjimz721 it was between two and four in the afternoon. The weather was cloudy and overcast about 6°C …. a typical February day on the West Coast of Vancouver Island. I was on the trail between Tofino and the junction to Highway 4. I don’t know what was following me. There’s a rich tradition of Sasquatch in the area….. whatever it was it definitely was mimicking my footsteps.

Thank you, Dave (if I may address you via first name basis) , for everything that you do to keep us all informed. I cannot articulate in a manner of which people believe what I'm stating. Off base here.... When I was 6 years old, in 1973, I got a first-hand view of which, I would later in life (via internet) find out was a Florida Swamp Ape. We lived beside a heavily, barely incorporated, Cape Coral, Florida. We, mom & I, lived with my grandpa, temporarily. Grandpa had a nice mobile home, nestled beside the only Moose Lodge in the area, at that point. Grandpa was in charge of running the Moose Lodge, at that time. So, I also had a dog. The dog was on a chain, with a dog house, right under the window of which room I slept in. I woke up, one morning, to my dog barking like crazy. Mom and I stood up on the bed, to see out of the open window. We wanted to see what it could be barking at, like that. My mom hushed me, with urgency. This beast came out of the wood line & directly to my dogs water bowl, and began drinking my dogs water, all of it. Mom told me, after the fact, that it was a "Big Foot". At 6 years old, I just figured it was just a dangerous animal... Little did I know. Whenever I try to tell people about it, they do everything possible to debunk my sighting. So, yes, I do believe in Sasquatch. I also believe in the inter-dementional. So, thank you, Dave, for all that you do to bring light to situations that, I feel, would otherwise go unnoticed. This Swamp Ape situation happened off of Pine Island Rd, in Cape Coral. I believe that the Moose Lodge still stands in that location, but, isn't as busy as it once was, in 1973. A new lodge, or two, have been built closer to the city, in place of the rural. ❤

I have no doubt about your words, I was born in FL but I roam, I met a big Black cat the size of a black Lab in the Ozarks, if I was to contact wildlife scientist in the area, they will just somehow, insinuate that my dumbass self just saw a large black house cat, I saw it done to a guy in Texas. I owned a 26 lb cat back in my cabin back then 2012. This cat could have picked up my cat like a kitten, and not even break stride

Absolute rubbish. Have a real good look at these men, they look extremely aged, even the younger ones. Running marathons doesent make you look any younger lol it stresses the body and any stress ages you. This is common sense but it seems most people have lost it. You can be fit without running 10 miles a day and lifting weights like a body builder.. actually pay attention to their age and how old they should look. I can put money on it they are not being chosen because they are "fit" that's just ridiculous. They're literally slowly killing themselves doing those long runs and hikes. Fitness comes with a price just like everything else in life. And to be fit you have to stress you body which ages you. Simple.

Also why are children and older women being taken? Are they also the fittest specimens around? Straight away your theory is debunked. Their agenda is not to take "fit" people. That's honestly laughable. Maybe they take certain blood types, that would make a lot more sense. O negative I think is the main type that goes missing. Besides the point.. it has nothing to do with fitness. A more rational explanation would be they are being taken because they are literally running through their front/backyard/house. It probably annoys them that these people are running through their homes so they take them. They are always alone too so nobody to tell what happened. I think that alone is a better theory than "oh they must be taking the fitness junkies" for DNA. Nah just no.

You're going off on a tangent about their physical appearance while I'm trying to find the commonality between the individuals gone missing. A common thread is that the high majority of these people are in the mountains because more likely than not they are living a pretty clean lifestyle. They don't smoke, drink to excess or use hard drugs.. their blood profiles are all natural. Purity of sorts. All genetically viable specimens would probably have been a better way of putting it. Most of these men would be able to screen clean for sperm clinics and genetics labs. In conclusion, if it's a single entity responsible in these cases it's definitely a profile point for the bad guy.

All of know (or will know) loss and grief. Living with a disappearance of a loved one is another thing altogether. I can't help but imagine the paralyzing fear and incredulity the family members must experience when the disappearance is first discovered and the ever-sinking hope as it goes on and on. There can't be much worse in this world. My sincere condolences to the survivors.

If I remember correctly, you once stated, the majority of missing persons, are Male, in their 20's to mid-30's, intelligent young men, and athletic. Wearing red seems to also be a target for some reason. Lately, since the U.S. Government has openly admitted there are UAP's, and they are active. What they do, and why is the question. Years ago I used to live not very far from the infamous Skinwalker Ranch, in Utah. I can remember on warm summer nights, sitting in a lounge chair, with soft drink in one hand, my binoculars in the other, facing east and watching "The Show" as my husband at the time called it. I asked myself, Why are "They" here? What do they want? It's the same everywhere on this planet. Are they studying us, or our interaction with our environment. ​​​​@@canammissingproject I live in Madeira, and I can tell you that most locals are aware of these disappearances. They are reported and televised... but, clearly not enough. Most people here believe that the majority of these cases could be the result of mere accidents, such as falls, trips, inadequate preparation, deadly slip-ups, going off track and not being able to get back on it, negligence, etc. ... Moreover, it is "locally" believed that the main reason as to why none of them have been found up to this point, may be due to the fact that Nature's elements have made that even harder to do at this point - that is, if they indeed perished. Let's suppose that in order to take a selfie or something, someone falls over an edge, and there happens to be sea down below... the chances of your body being dragged in to the sea after the fall, are extremely high, especially up north, where the sea is almost always rough and stormy. It is indeed true that trailing in Madeira is quite challenging and demanding, on all levels. On top of that, the weather here (especially in the more mountainous areas) can change quite drastically and severely from one moment to the next, regardless of what is said on the most updated weather forecasts. Caution is advised at all times, and it is almost always never recommended to hike or trekk alone, for the aforementioned reasons. Indeed, some of the best spots to visit, photograph, take in, etc. are located in areas that (in my opinion) are not adequately prepared for people to be even standing on... very steep edges and what not... plus, the lack of railing in certain parts is another serious problem, that unfortunately might give people a false sense of security... ("...like, if the locals are cool with this steep edge being unrailed and in this almost like abandoned state, then it must mean it's safe, right?!..." kind of thing). I'm not blaming the persons that disappeared, of course, I'm just saying that the humans living in an island that lives off essentially of tourism, should take better care of said island and its tourist "atractions"... that's all. Madeira is an absolutely gorgeous and amazing island, and there are many great sights to see, places to explore and visit. However, as it happens with many other places on Earth, one has to keep both eyes open ... and, if you ask me, I admit that some of the details related to some of these cases are indeed VERY intriguing and they leave us with MANY open and unanswered questions... Having said that, if you mention the strangeness of all of these cases to most locals, they might occasionally talk about aliens, gates, portals..., but if they do, they do so mostly as a punchline, or usually as a get-go to explain what happened, after all other possible scenarios have been effectively ruled out.

Back in 2017 I was in Tenerife on holiday and we had a villa on the coast which was away from all the tourist part. Me and my friends wife both saw at night what can only be described as a UAP or odd lights in the sky. I checked the flights straight away on the live flights app and there wasn’t a single plane in that area of the island at that time, not even near. Interestingly the island also has pyramids and many years ago skeleton bones of giants were found on the island. Make of that as you will. Some strange shenanigans going on.

I'm an experienced camper in the Australian bush and I've been to every state and territory for camping trips but recently I went to the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia. I have felt things and sensed things when I'm alone in the bush (usually thick forest) but this Peninsula felt completely empty and almost safe and peaceful in a way? It felt like a clean safe space (Besides the great whites along the coast and deadly snakes in the bushes). I've never felt that calm, safe and at home in my life. I wanna move there or retire there it's so beautiful! I've noticed some places give off a bad vibe while other places feel safe? I think it's my sixth sense picking up the lack of danger and lack of an unknown predator as it were?. The more I study this the more I don't think it's bigfoot, I think it's possibly extraterrestrial or inter dimensional now because even a smart predator like a bigfoot or serial killer is gonna leave signs behind that searchers would find. Bigfoot might be smarter than man but no creature is infallible and they would make mistakes here and there?. It seems something is literally making people disappear without a trace and I think it's something that high level physicists discuss but can't prove as it's theory until we see a wormhole or dimensional gate and study them, most physicists do believe in wormholes and inter dimensional travel so it's not a crazy conspiracy theory.

Almost like he was placed there after the fact. I had a friend once who came across a body that had been dead awhile. He didn't want involved so he notified the police and told them where it was without telling them who he was. Maybe same scenario?? Lol I really do not know.

Missing right now in tenerife, Jay slater, called friend to say he was lost. Had 1 % battery. Search has been going on for days. He's a 19 year old boy. Went missing in remote mountainous region, within hiking area. Think it may be the same area the other guy you mentioned went missing. It's a busy hiking route, yet no-one has seen Jay. His last call was about 8 am.

I found myself so focused on the running, i was unaware of predators following me until i stopped jogging and took a break. The first time there was a fox, next coyotes, the last straw was the mountain lion that ran across the field in front of me chasing a turkey. Ive had unidentifiable things around on occasion [ no bigfoot things] i will only go out into the woods with a sidearm now.

As a local that lives in Funchal, some of the islands trails are really hard, covered by thick vegetation and to add insult to injury the weather changes very quickly with very strong winds. Saying that, a couple different human bones have been found in a trash bin under a bridge (near the airport) not sure if those bones where ever identified. Good video makes you wonder, a few sad incidents or something more nefarious happening in Madeira.

Good morning Dave, these stories are just so damn odd. By the way I'm Lise Charlie's wife (his WiFi works on his phone). I'm not a hiker or camper or any of that. But after watching these stories I know I would want to be found if lost. So, the dogs.. what about dropping Bacos as you walk or (this will sound weird) rubbing bacon fat on the sole of your sneakers/ boots? Or would this attract other animals ? what about SAR teams camp out near this last location of the "disappeared"? I thinks it's time to hike to deliberately get lost and to deliberately get found. These places where people hear calls for help should be camped on. Right? In Jersey the largest state park is Wharton State Park near the pine barrens I wonder has anyone been lost forever there? Hello David's. Him from Portugal. This wear 24 In the beginning, a couple of turist, disappear in Madeira in trail. Portugal is very beautiful a lot wilderness, but is very small country. Dave your a great hearted ,caring individual, if the world had more men like u, we wouldnt have wars,only compassion and paying things forward, now 2 things ,ive looked up Madeira Island and Eastern Colorado, the weather is arrid and dry most times of year in those areas,which could lead to the preservation of a corpse for many,many years,Eventually losing its elasticity,but could hold up well and surprise a person when finding out how long the body has been deceased ❤ ​@canammissingproject

They were 2 French tourists and they were found dead. Probably an accident. They went on a walk and didn't know the area.

were as your probably right ,i do find it odd compared to past eras were either they didn't get reported or they went missing less often...what really odd is that in the last 5 or 6yrs a huge amount have gone missing in comparison to maybe 10yrs earlier...

Hi dave,these cases are so strange,these young people and older seem to go missing not only when there alone but in these well none trails that a run on daily,it's almost like this thing that is taking them like or target runners,people in shape,and in the fall or spring,I'm wondering if these laylines are more active in these times and opening petals that are not random but planned,almost like here one comes hit the button and let them run into these portals without even noing it,and they are only one way portals,and if they do get out its on high ground and around granite or in places that most people would not be any other wise,maybe plbecons wouldn't help in these cases,couldn't pin that phone,that blows me away,if that phone was on and on the surface on the earth I could find it,so it dlows me away and I am putting my all into it,we need everyone to help here so keep eyes and ears open and stay away from these parks and remote trails,and don't walk alone ur being watch by something or someone,jim from maine❤
