Neil's brother Aaron deserves a lot of credit for not letting his brother (murderer) walk away after confessing, and for turning his brother in when he failed to do so on his own as promised. Hearing that Elijah carried his mother's photo around so he can "still share things with her" 😢

I was a young bride getting married at 18 and I received advice from my grandmother that has always stayed with me. She said when you exchange vows and take your husband’s name you are not just marrying the man you are marry the family. In June my husband and I will celebrate 20 years. All 20 of those years I have been a military spouse and have seen many dynamics regarding in-laws among military families. Often times spouses think once married or a baby comes the in-laws will take a step back. That is not always the case. If those boundaries are not established prior to a baby or marriage then there is ZERO incentive once you are trapped.

I remember a documentary "crocodile tears" starring Margaret Archer and son, and what film star lookers they are! Yet again we see the outcome of when a mother brings up a "favoured" son instilling in his head that no woman will be good enough for him, that his son is belongs to his side of the family and is merely a weapon to use against his mother to control her and no doubt demean her parental care with. Thankfully the other son of Margaret's takes after his father Lory and not only had a moral character but realised the way Neil was put on a pedalstal to the point he had total disregard for human life plus deprived his own baby son of his mother, proving Neil and Margaret have a psychopathic mind and belong in jail. The documentary I wrote of gives the brothers version of how only Neil mattered to their mother and how Neil bullied him whilst growing up and of course was never punished for anything, whereas he'd get slapped and berated for far less. Thanks for covering this, poor Jodi was stuck in this 3 way relationship of which she would never walk out of with or without Elijah. Thank God the lad is in a stable loving secure home and Jodi's family get to see glimpses of her in her son. ❤️

Nicely put and obviously well thought out. I know myself what it's like to be an un-favored one in a family situation. Not nice. It took me years to realize how weird and horrible it could be being 'the favored' one as well. I'm not relating that to this family btw, I'm just saying that as difficult and painful as it may be to do, it might be worthwhile to really try to imagine and feel what it could be like being 'the favored one' sometimes? For some people it might be equally as bad and psychologically damaging as being the favored one. After all they didn;t choose it and it's out of their control. Like I said.. I am not applying this to this case... It just made me think. Great channel and some intelligent viewers! Bless x

she WAS like a daughter to me! classic past tense because she knows. how that mum could have her son's back is just sickening. poor Jody and her family and most of all her poor boy who has to grow up knowing his dad killed his mum and his nanny helped cover it up!! I hope Elijah is doing well, bless him. Truly Criminal thank you for your awesome content 💗

“She WAS like a daughter to me… She confidED in me…” talking about Jody in past tense is the red flag that should’ve been payed attention to. If someone you love is missing, you hope they’re alive and well out there and would eventually come home. You wouldn’t speak about them in past tense unless you already knew they were no longer alive and won’t be coming back. Poor Jody! 💔 My Heart goes to her family and her boy. Such a heartbreaking case.

‘Elijah took the photo of his mother out to show his Mum his new bike, & sat it on the table so she could watch him ride on it’ - that definitely hit my soul & made me cry. Poor Jody just wanted a peaceful life bringing up her little boy, & got murdered because she saw the light & no longer wanted to be with an abusive partner & his abusive family. Absolutely heartbreaking. RIP Jody, & my condolences to all of Jody’s loved ones, especially little Elijah. He has one very amazing guardian angel looking over him for the rest of his life x

This one was hard to watch, as I know the family. I remember seeing Kyly, not long after this horrible crime came to light, and she was so broken, and confused. My heart ached for her, and all I could do was hug her. I had only met Lucy, and Shaun a handful of times and they are good people. No family deserves to go through this, nor did Jody deserve this... All for wanting to better her life, for her and her son? R.I.P Beautiful Jody xx
