I know it's a hard pill to swallow when your only child is away, I've been there. It took me a long while to accept my child being gone. But as long as we communicated and I knew she was good, it made it a tad bit easier. You have Tina, the cat and both dogs to help with your loneliness, you will be ok mom ❤

I feel you. When my daughter went away to college, I was a mess for 6 months before she left and 6 months after. And I still had one child at home. I’m telling you, I could find her sock in the laundry room and the waterworks would start. Any little thing. Then, guess what? She moved back home twice since then as she’s still in college! 😆 I think her next departure will be easier for me. Hopefully!🤞🏽Lol! Design your new life. Find your joys. Gather with other adults. Attend events. Don’t let her see you too sad, bcuz when we’re close w/ our daughters- they can feel that and may even come back bcuz they think you can’t make it without them. And we want them to live their life, explore this world. We both need space to grow eventually. Bigger pot for bigger purpose. ❤Sending you hugs! 🤗

I think that is how I'm going to be when my son leaves. He's ALWAYS with me. I can count on my hands how many times he went to someone else's house for the night. My daughter is always gone on the weekend with her gma, so It'll be no difference (other than sound cause this girl is the wildest of all child's).

Go outside!!! Do stuff. You will be surprised and how many interests you have that do not revolve around your family that you never pursued or forgot that you enjoy bc your had kids to consider. Date yourself. Theater, festivals, concerts, museums, maybe classes. I'm down to my last one of four. He's off to college in June. I already started planning to travel and take dance classes. I am a chef but stopped working to focus on the kids since hubby was constantly deploying. Now I'm planning to cook again. This time I'm feeding the homeless in my city. The kids will always need you now and then. You community needs you now.

My daughter got me a cat, the week before she told me she was moving out. She moved to the next city over, I did see her at least three times a week. Then she got married and had my grandson, I was there almost everyday. He was about seven months old, when she told me they were moving to Nevada to buy a house.😢 What? I waited so long to become a grandmother. One year later, I moved to Nevada. It's great! I live 12mins. From her, I have my two grandsons. I don't miss a thing, she comes over about three times a week. Love my life. Thank you Jesus

My sister is going thru the empty nest loneliness to I went thru that wen my kids were babies 😭😭 n I still miss them every day.. I have my 3 cats that keep me company.. ❤❤I went thought stuff at a young age n had my 3rd baby at 24 n was in a real bad abusive relationship for a really long time n couldn't see my kids n I used drugs to cope n it's been a really long long road of loneliness loss heart ache n maturing to get here I'm at now. 3yrs 3 months clean n sober I have my own place n been single for 5yrs now n have my cars n bout to get visition with my youngest who is 14 n I haven't seen since he was 2.. ❤❤❤ God is good and I am blessed to be where I am at today.

Oh man girl... I can understand as I'm trying to see how it will be now that two of my sons are adults now.
