Missing Persons influenced Lady Gaga and No Doubt. Tony Kanal of No Doubt wore a Missing Persons t-shirt. Gwen Stefani picked up some techniques of Dale Bozzio. Btw Dale Bozzio was a Playboy model. Terri is still active as a drummer. Dale still sings for Missing Persons.

@@TheWolfHunterZ Terry worked with Frank Zappa for many records before joining Missing Persons. The guitar player is Warren Cuccurullo who also played guitar for Frank. Finally Dale Bozzio also worked with Zappa. They all appear on the fantastic Joe's Garage record (although Terry only did vocals as he had basically been replaced by legendary drummer Vinnie Colaiuta at that point). If you ever want to see an amazing "musicians tree" try playing 6 degrees of Frank Zappa, lol.

The Guitar is custom made.. Missing Persons was formed when all members were in Frank Zappa's band. Frank recorded the bands first demos and E.P. Terry Bozzio was on the drums for Steve Vai's For The Love Of God live video.. Steve Vai was also in Frank Zappa's band the same time as Terry

Terry Bozzio another Monster eheh . One of the inspirationZ of Mike Portnoy . He is obviously well known for his particular style and stage presence ! His setup is unique with many effectZ cymbalZ . He is a percussionist and his drumZ and CymbalZ cover him entirely . All for researching in sonorities more than playing music and for a band . I say that for distinguish him . Only in a very good way ! Dolly increases vertically in confidence with that situation ! She smacks your cheek loud but a look full of sentimentZ for you Sir Jon

I saw them in the mid 80s in concert. I was surprised to see that the drummer was front and center stage! Watching them on MTV, I didn't get the sense of how good a musician he was. I ended up really enjoying the concert because of him.

Hey Jon and Dolly! It's nice you guys because it's usually "those other 2 members" of the band who monopolize the channel's videos. 😆 I've loved Missing Persons since their debut album, Spring Session M, and I think they were one of the most underrated bands of the 80's. Spring Session M basically had all of their biggest hits, including this song, Destination Unknown, Windows, Walking In LA and Mental Hopscotch was on the 1995 reissue. I love Dale Bozzio's voice and unique style (she was Lady Gaga before there was a Lady Gaga) and the band is killer, including ex-Frank Zappa band members Patrick O'Hearn on bass and Dale's husband at the time, Terry Bozzio, on drums (Dale also sang for frank Zappa for awhile when she was starting out as a singer). A bit of trivia...Dale Bozzio grew up just outside of Boston (close to my hometown) and she worked as a "bunny" at the Playboy Club in Boston prior to entering the music industry.

She's been living rent free in a tiny corner of my brain since this video premiered on MTV. Love her. If yiu have not akready I *HIGHLY* reccommend Voices Carry by Til Tuesday. Al Jourgensen (Ministry) likes to claim Aimee Man wrote the song about their relationship, but that was a whole other song. That song/video def left a Strong impression on me. If you heard it already, how about Harden My Heart by Quarterflash?

Missing Persons is comprised of the guts of Frank Zappa's Zoot Allures album line up. Dale Bozzio made her debut as the subject of the song "The Torture Never Stops" on that album. She was Terry Bozzio's girlfriend at the time and eagerly accepted the challenge to fill the role of the torture victim. An interesting song to say the least.

There was a lot(and I am emphasizing the 'A LOT' in this statement)...a lot of drugs being done back then...do enough coke and you will support anyone's fantasy in being on stage and famous, as well as believe you are the next great band no matter how you sound. Just saying
