Week 3 of Mission 40 in the bag, another consistent week of training complete, with my first ‘race’ of 2024 at the end.

The weeks are generally uneventful at the moment, but that’s kind of what I want. Consistent weeks of training, building up slowly and making hidden progress.
Running isn’t a cheat code, there are no shortcuts. If I continue to be consistent, do the basics and don’t try to reinvent the wheel, I think my running will get stronger and by default faster and/or easier.
The layout of the week isn’t ideal; running Sunday from the previous week and then Monday and Tuesday of the next week. But that’s what my schedule allows and running long on Tuesdays with heavy legs will hopefully prepare me for my marathon block later in the year.
I’m feeling pretty good at the moment, training is challenging but manageable.
