IMO, MI7's box office didn't do well because it was released the week right before Oppenheimer/Barbie. It lost all of its IMAX screens within a week or so. I'm hoping that MI8's box office does better this time for future installments, with or without Tom Cruise. Love this film series!

This teaser was put really well together. They've added so many more actors in as well like you said, but brought back a few old characters as well. And seeing "the rabbits' foot" in the teaser kinda makes me feel like they are really going back to its roots as well. Considering we never really got an explanation of what it was in MI3. But seing Angela Bassett back does make me wonder who else will return? Ive heard somewhere Jeremy Renner was coming back as well. This genuinely does look and feel like the endgame for MI. For Tom Cruise at least. Really just hope they do it right!

@jacobjslee I do think he is considering the they have a voice over of him in the trailer and Jeremy have said that he is open to coming back. It was just scheduling conflicts before and doesn't want to return if his character was just gonna get killed off. And I think when 2 character were giving a brotherly dap/handshake. I do think that was tom and jeremy. I do think they will try and not include him in the trailers. But if not, have a reveal at the end, not show his face but just have him speak a line or something.

I love Tom Cruises & every one of the Mission films-except the last one. While all the action was great-the story was The Tease for this upcoming film. As for the teaser: yep, it’s the great action we come to expect from Tom, and doesn’t give away anything regarding the narrative. Maybe more when the Trailer is released. Am I the only one who recognize the Composition of the scene with Tom & Team (now with Pom/Paris) is an exactly replica of the scene from Fallout when they’re at the medical camp looking for the bomb, and meet Tom’s first wife? Is this meaningful, or just something McQuarrie thought was cool? Lastly, the horizontal kissing scene in the water is reminiscent of the scenes in other Mission films when Ethan’s female partner, love interest is dead/dying. The dying person is always on bottom. In this teaser clip Ethan is on bottom. This hints that Ethan dies, or is dreaming & believes he will die, and is greeted by one of the women who he feels he is responsible for their death. Bottom line: they’ve had MORE than enough time to make this film (one of the running scenes) looks like it was filmed during the recent Olympics in Paris), so I’m hoping we not only get the Action, but also a SATISFYING story. Fingers crossed.

I swear to Christ, if this is another 3 hour, bloated Fast & Furious film with a mind bogglingly stupid plot about an evil AI, I will give up. I don’t have much confidence because this pretentious trailer kinda looks like it’s more like 7, than 1,4-6. Mission Impossible is at its best when it’s big budget but still has a lo-fi feel.
