Mission: SPACE Orange Full Experience POV Epcot Walt Disney World

Thrill Source Member PopFilms recorded this 1080p HD full experience POV of the more intense Mission SPACE Experience. Mission: SPACE is a high sustained G-Force centrifuge ride that is not recommended for people with any sort of condition that may be worsened by roller coasters and intense rides. Disney offers a less intense experience for those people.
Attentive viewers will see that I filmed the pre-show and the ride separately. My camera died the first time I filmed, so I popped in another battery and came back 20 minutes later. In fact, I rode the ride 5 times that day alone! I seem to be Mission: SPACE's only fan.

Full disclosure - I hate rollercoasters. However, I really wanted to ride this attraction. In line started to freak a bit due to all of the warning signs. Hubby said "All the rides have those warnings so just relax". Ergo went on the ride, wanted to shoot myself during the ride and he wanted to puke afterwards. This is a man to rides EVERY scary rollercoaster and said it was the most intense ride he had ever been on. So much mad respect for astronauts after this tiny experience of what they have to endure. Still glad I did it, but would never do it again that's for darn sure.

, When I was nine and first rode this, I wasn’t scared before and thought it would be like the mission earth. Heck was I wrong, the pressure that it puts on you makes it really hard to breath. I felt like I was gonna pass out.

I am from the UK and went on holiday to Florida about 20 years ago and I STILL remember this horrible ride, it was the worst thing I have ever been on I thought I was going to be sick but couldn’t breathe at the same time because of the restraints. Awful, foul ride.

Claustrophobic trap from hell. IMO, of course. I never even knew I was claustrophobic until this ride and I rode GREEN! Even the green side has barf bags. Never, EVER again!

Did the orange and never again. V close to chundering! The standard rides that talk about if u have issues with motion sickness etc are normally fine. This was something else. Amazing simulator but horrid if your stomachs not up for it

it simulates 0 force gravity. different than any rollercoaster. im debating if ill ever ride this,. im not prone to motion sickness. but obviously would not eat anything heavy 3-4 hours before and take a dramamine or ginger pill before riding it.. thats what i do with roller coasters and never have gotten sick..well see

@@oblongfan1I rode this 20 years ago once and still remember the intensity , it was horrible, quite frankly. If you’re curious I would recommend it but it’s not something I would personally ever go on for a second time!

I went on this ride in 2007 & 2009 at Walt Disney World. In addition, I was like… 0:36 Hey, that’s the guy from that 2000 Touchstone Picture Film “Mission To Mars”. When I say “The Guy”, I mean Gary Sinise. I can’t remember what I was in the ride, but I was at the right end seat & then 7:54 I said “Let’s go to Mars” just like Gary Sinise’s character said from the movie itself.

If you think this is intense, try vertigo in Tivoli. Sustained G's more than double this for much longer.

Right when they said “motion sickness” I’d be like “aw hell naw get me off of this ride” Good thing I didn’t go on it. I was in 3rd grade and I still hate roller coasters 👍🏻😁

I think the only reason that this attraction hasn’t been removed is money, honestly. Disney put 100 million into this ride and pavilion (partnering with ETC, a company who makes actual centrifuges for NASA). I bet it would be too much to just throw away and start from scratch for a 3rd time.

so basically there's 2 experiences: the green and the orange. The rides spins as you "take off". The green is for people who can handle less spinning and more control of motion sickness. It's a little less realistic, but they still come with barf bags. The orange, however, is the one that gets to people's head. The orange is the realistic experience of an actual take off flight. It's spins like crazy. Two people have died on the ride due to shock and unawareness of the ride. Not trying to scare, it's different for everyone, but it is named one of Disney's most intense rides.

Why is this ride still in the park? It is horrendous. My husband and I spent the entire ride trying to deep breathe and not puke. 🤢 My teenagers also hated it. So glad I didn’t wait long, I would have been even more disappointed. I also had a moment of anxiety realizing how “closed in” I felt and I am not claustrophobic !!! I felt sea sick for hours after this ride Riders beware, not fun!! G-force is all you feel. 🤮🤢

@@rixsist7048 Nope, never been on the ride myself. I don't even live in the country this ride is in. Just saw it mentioned in a video about rides that caused deaths and found it interesting, but they never showed how the ride actually worked and I was curious, which led me here. Seeing so many people complain about a ride that warns you of its effects before you enter it is quite funny. It's like seeing a "wet floor" sign in a hallway and choosing to run through it anyway, you slip and hurt yourself and then complain about it. That's where my stance is coming from.
