Mission Space Orange - Outside View No Night Vision

I left my phone against the back wall to record. If you want your own footage, make sure your phone is against the wall. The floors drop out and you don’t want to have to ask a cast member for it!

Remember kids.....don't eat before riding! I was smart and followed all precautions. I survived and was proud of it. My wife saw someone outside exiting who ran right for the bushes.

Please please please please PLEASE eat before riding!!! Gravitational forces like this pull blood away from the brain and if blood sugar is low from not eating you are more likely to pass out! Obviously don't stuff yourself five minutes before hopping in line, but for your safety and enjoyment never go on anything known to be intense on an empty stomach. Around an hour or so after eating is ideal to be on the ride (meaning 60+ wait time, join the line). You will might wind up nauseous and struggle getting anything down afterwards, but you’ll be able to recover from dizziness and minimize the likelihood of other bigger issues.

@@captchaossega As someone who’s been on anything and everything, it’s legit. I’ve gone on it hungry vs after a meal and it is easier with sustenance. The more bodily needs you fulfill, the more resources your system has to handle stressful situations. Even if you do throw up after, having eaten reduces the chances of long-term nausea. Get your stomach to calm down and you can actually safe the rest of your day! You are technically more likely to throw up if your stomach has something to throw up, but believe me, losing lunch is better than dry heaves the rest of the day. All and any of the above are better than passing out.

@@lexi_6669 that's cool to know. Fortunately I never had any dry heaves afterwards. Just a short rest to get my bearings and some freeze dried ice cream from the shop.

I always wonders how fast it has to spin to produce the felling of 2.5gs and after seeing this that’s pretty damn fast. I see it’s already spinning before the count down so it can easily get up to speed fast for the launch portion. I know many people hate this ride but it’s do fascinating to me because it’s basically 4 min on a centrifuge that moves. It’s truly a remarkable ride.

@@alecc3073 it really isn't that bad when you're on it, if you keep your head straight you should be fine and it just feels like you're being pushed into your seat. Honestly if the ride didn't tell me before hand we were spinning I wouldn't have known

I was told by a cast member before going in that it would spin and while I was on the ride I was wondering when the spinning part would happen and I was bracing myself for it.

There is warnings before every ride like may cause motion sickness as a precaution. Never took the warning seriously because even baby rides have it. This almost ruined the whole day for my husband and I. We got incredibly sick. If you ride this just a heads up there ginger ale at the coke shop right out front. Took 2 bottles and almost 2 hours but thankfully we recovered.

@@lexi_6669 You are very lucky the ride's intrusion sensors didn't pick up your phone. Before every ride 40 cameras take a picture of the room and if something is out of place the ride won't start.

Now the orange team mars mission is similar to the tour around earth on green team except due to the large amount of fast carnival ride speed simulator spinning is actually a little bit more rough than green team

Both deaths linked to this ride were found to have underlying health issues that were agitated by the intensity. It was not the forces that caused the deaths, but flare ups afterwards.

@@alexpollard450 I am not sure if they did change the speed. I think there were two deaths, one over high blood pressure and one over rare conditions that were exposed by the ride, but both were before the green team was introduced. Until 2006 there may have been no mention of motion sickness in the preshow videos.

@@alexpollard450 Yeah, the spinning is what caused the 4 G’s. Thankfully, there’s a less intense Green Team experience which removes the spinning.
