It would be a good idea to get the spikes crafted and mounted on the fortification walls. They can be placed from either front or back and repaired from either side . You can stand on the walkways and deploy/repair - try your options. The spikes work very well. They are great for collecting dead animals! 5000 hit points for the spikes, the same for the walls. Very strong. The walkways on the back are useful as well. They can be used as ramps as well ('R').

Does anyone ever wonder is game designers have any idea how much space is needed to grow enough food to live on. I'm not expecting Farming Simulator 22, but I am sure some kids grow up think food magically appears over night. No wonder everyone complains even when food can be available out of season, flown half-way round the planet and still provide more than a days calories for a family for under an hours wage. Sorry for the food rant, but farmer need our love. They don't all have sheep. 😀

Think I'd rather buy this than any Paradox game. Introducing Cities Skylines 2! Start your city with a dirt track, expand to tarmac*, dual carriageways*, freeways*. Watch your city come to life and light up* and changes with the seasons!* *Additional DLC required. I haven't bought any Paradox games since the first Cities figured they could charge for a day/night cycle as a DLC.

The animal ai discussion just made me think of wiljum in rust. Bears either destroy him or run miles away with him cursing that they won't just die.

I'm going to be taking a look at a couple of other games this week so it'll be interesting to see if they have any more interesting behaviours as I think it'd be nice to see if anyone has managed to crack this in an interesting way

You can be very over encumbered but you can ride and it has no effect. The Deep Mining Drills can be left unguarded, but it's always a good idea to put them in a small stone hut if outside just in case. You can put a solar cell on the roof for example.

For the tower, I think it's enough with a single stack of posts (6?) with ladders next to it to continue building up. Balance the beacon on the top. If you want to take the beacon to deploy for example in your house after the mission is over, you need to dismantle the posts underneath it so it falls into an overflow bag.

When I envisage Capac and a buffalo cart, all I see is him pulling a cart with an injured buffalo in the back, complaining that it was a waste of points.

To team kill the crocs, 1 take the aggro, run backwards shooting/stabbing, the other run behind stabbing it. Otherwise use poles (2 angled poles end to end) run up and crouch. Fire while crouching so you don't fall off. Getting your arrows back depend on which arrows you are using - the break chance is in the stats.

Stacked wooden poles in the blue beam with ladders beside it works for the tower. Place the Beacon on top of the pole to complete mission.

Build a palisades V wall with the spikes on em, lure the crocs in there, kill them while they attack the spikes. Repair the spikes.

I think Capac needs to man up with that spear. He's always jumping rather than stabbing and moving backwards. I sacrificed a point for a spear and wolves, jaguars, and MOAs weren't a problem.

You can use the firewacker to extinguish yourself as well just look at your feet and then use the firewacker. When you use the firewacker on a tree the main flame animation will stop and then you just get that sort of single smoldering flame and then it'll go out.

If you haven't done the research mission to research worm scales and poison sacks to make weapons then there is no point in keeping the worm parts.

Problem with complex animal behaviours, i find most devs have no idea of realistic behaviours. I have seen maybe 2 decentish ones but still have stupid quirks. Ie that wounded animal may run but wont run forever

Only game I have played where animals will run from you is rust but being a pvp mainly game not sure you would enjoy it.

Does he ever realize you don't need to pick up every single arrow when killing something? It just shows up in the animals inventory

There was a longstanding bug where you'd only get some of the arrows back while doing that, developed a habit as a result

You should claim the animal that you intend to use, at the end of the taming process: - at the end of the taming process, when the animal grows up from a youngling to an adult, someone gets to press "F" to claim the animal. That person *gets to change the animal's stance*. As in making the animal sit still or follow. And renaming the animal, for the fun of it. It does not matter who first leads the young animal to the place where it will be tamed. It does not matter who built the taming related stuff (animal bed, food and water trough) or who fills them. Only who claims the animal at the end. Also the tamed animal's AI has been severely dropped on it's head in infancy, so expect very silly stuff from them :) And on a weapon related topic, can anyone tell me why other weapons besides knife, bow and maybe hunting rifle exist in the game? Are there any tricks to using the other ones (ex spear) in a way that does not suck?
