One of my favorite summer memories so far this year has definitely been going to the renaissance faire, last year was our first time going and so we’ve tried to make it a yearly thing. My favorite (yet bittersweet) memory from this summer has been traveling to Florida from SC to say goodbye to my grandmother who passed. Getting to see family that I haven’t seen since I was a child, and just honestly getting closer to my mom was very needed. Seeing all the photos and memories in my grandmothers house who I didn’t get to see in 3 years due to covid and life getting busy with college was really eye opening to hold your loved ones close. My absolute favorite summer memory was going to the beach with my family. We have not been able to have a family vacation in so long, my dad just got a new job which allows him to have more time off to spend with his family, whereas before he was always worn out & working constantly. So blessed for him to be able to have that opportunity, he’s worked hard for it! I work as a full time nanny, so my summer has been incredibly eventful. My favorite memory, though, has to be putting dish soap on their trampoline and spraying it with water. It was basically a giant bouncy slip n slide. The kids had the best time, and there’s very little in this world better than enjoying life with children.

My favorite summer memory has to be 2020. My mom is a teacher and with Covid being at an all time high, she couldn’t do her summer camp as she always does. That summer I felt so incredibly thankful that none of us got sick and we donated (clothes etc) to those we knew affected by the virus and we did our part by staying in. This was the first summer I got to spend with my parents home most of the time. (My dad had to work because his job didn’t shut down or anything- and we still needed some income) My mom and I spent the days playing cards, walking the dogs, planting in the backyard, cooking and actually eating meals together. My dad spent his weekends grilling and we ate as a family (which we hardly do because my dad works night shifts). This summer made me so incredibly thankful and gave me time with my parents that I may not have had otherwise. ☮️♥️

My favorite summer memory so far has to be when I visited my best friends new apartment for the first time. We went out for margaritas and tacos, then hit target to try to see if they had anything she wanted to get for her apartment. We went back to her place and gossiped for literally hours. Favourite summer memory was actually last summer. There was a meteor shower and it was the perfect night, my friends and I took kayaks out into the middle of the lake and just floated there looking up at the endless sky, watching the shower, and wishing on the shooting stars. A little thing but honestly a favorite of mine this summer: there's a baby deer that hangs out in my backyard, and it has a spot right next to the fence where it always sits, and I love getting up in the morning to see if it's there. Favorite summer memory is from the early ‘00s. I grew up in PR and me and my siblings would spend our summers at this villa right in front of the beach. I remember just being in the water all day playing and then when it was time to go to sleep I still felt like I was in the waves. I’ll be honest I unfortunately have been working most of my summer away. So much chaotic energy. Yesterday I actually set aside the entire day just to catch up with myself. I even let myself sleep in. Just took the day to rest and reconnect with myself.
