I'm so impressed with your dedication to that old quilt. I'm sure the original maker would be pleased that you value her work enough to make it over again for her.

Wow. Taking apart the old quilt squares and putting back together is such a wonderful way to save an old quilt.

I pick my grandson up from school, I get there early, while waiting for school to get out I am hand sewing English paper piecing, In 2021 I got a block a month from England the pattern is called crosses. I just started working on January. I find sewing English paper piecing is very relaxing. Thank you for Sharing.

I’m really enjoying the msqc staff show and tell. It’s like a virtual guild. It’s also great to show case other people’s interests. I love EPP 💕 Fantastic presentation, enjoy this ladies voice. Would like to see how she attaches the hexagons to the squares.❤️

I just sent in my paper pieced quilt for machine quilting @ MSQ. This took over 6+ years and is Full Size bed with all different fabrics for each flower. Excited to see when it comes home.

It's good seeing you Courtney. Really like the hexies, but I don't hand stitch. Too hard on my wrist. It's hard enough doing binding.

I love all your EPP. I have a project going on that I have been doing for years but just lately I have been doing more. I was going to make a pouch with it but somehow I changed my mind as it was nearing the size and decided to turn it into something else. Don't know what yet. I'll just keep sewing and see what it ends up being. I like to take it to my craft group because I can sew this and chat. Everyone crochets but I can't keep track of what i'm doing when someone comes for a chat. EPP is perfect for a chatty group.

Your Show and Tell was great fun to watch! I've got a book called Pieced Hexies (Mickey Depre), similar to what I saw you hold up, with hundreds of different blocks to put in a Grandmother's Flower Garden set up. I've been using only scraps and working at it for about five years. I finally have enough to start putting a quilt together! See if you can get ahold of the book. Mind blowing goodness. You're quite the card! 😁

I have a quilt of Granny’s that is like the old quilt except it is just diamonds shapes. What are they called. She made the quilt in 1950 or before. She wasn’t a great sewer she was a “Get’er Done quilter” she was born in 1882. They were poor folk who made.do. How they made their own fabric by sewing together smaller pieces tho make one big enough to cut out a piece. One piece had 4 fabrics in it. Fascinating to me but at 10 I was took young to know the questions to ask. So can someone help me with a name.
