Hi Alexis, I just saw your video . I've been working from home for 30 years. For half that time I was a volunteer newsletter editor. Then, the internet entered my life along with website design and my life changed. As more customers came along I invested in a laptop and then in 2013, my wonderful husband was diagnosed with kidney failure. The laptop made it possible for me to work wherever I went including the four hour session at the dialysis center 3 days a week. Now, sadly last November (Thanksgiving will be a year) my wonderful husband and business mentor went to be with the Lord. And my life has changed again. Imagine having 365 blank spaces on your calendar and no idea how to organize them. Your videos have really helped me. Thank you.

Lovely Video! Apologies for chiming in, I would appreciate your initial thoughts. Have you tried - Mahorrla Control Clutter Method (do a search on google)? It is an awesome one of a kind guide for decluttering your home without the headache. Ive heard some awesome things about it and my work colleague at very last got great success with it.

Miss, you're so charismatic! I am glad I discovered you, which was easy since you're in top of results on KZbin. I aspire to live a much greater quality of life but I'm trapped in many limitations. I have never had a productive day in life. I'm living at home with my elderly . I have lived on my own but got nothing done.I can't live this way anymore. I'm below hell/rock bottom. I'm a 24 yrs old , female, unemployed, ethnic, British, tragic failure in every way with no support at all from anyone and increasingly struggling in every aspect. I have faced many personal, social, educational & work issues to say the least, including workplace bullying even from managers. I don't have any guidance/skills for self employment or working from home etc. I'm not COMPLETELY dumb. I do have some basic school level education but I'm not a natural academic. I have no working nor educated people in my family. My parents are painfully unproductive, disabled and benefit reliant. I am not their carer,I am their daughter with no degree,no job,no car,no life skills,no friends,no support. I have been to over unsuccessful 150 harrowing, unsuccessful, mortifying, patronising interviews in the last 5 years. By God's honest truth.Obviously they see nothing in me & in their eyes I am not good enough, not likable, not employable. And they are often very rude in their responses. I can honestly say I do nothing at all to provoke these people - they take one look at me & decide they hate me & nothing I do can change that. Believe it or not, even through all this adversity,I have remained grateful, positive, resilient & persistent but recently have given up applying for jobs as it is costly & draining applying for & attending interviews to no success and being. Also there is never any helpful nor constructive feedback. I have volunteered for many years but it does not fulfill me. I have asked places like Princes Trust & many other lesser known & well known places for guidance but to no success. They have all ignored, rejected, dismissed & mocked me. If I was to show you a portfolio of my countless efforts, you would surely be astounded. Due to bullying & rejection, my confidence is very low. Based on this brief, undetailed summary of my employment status of the last 7 yrs, and bearing in mind I am not privileged, 24, have fibromyalgia & personal difficulties. I do not have a laptop sadly but do have a just about working smartphone & access to wifi in house & public, though my anxiety & health make going out very problematic. I would be immensely grateful for any genuine advice. Thank you x

Hi Alexis!!! Thank you for this video. I totally agree with your designated work area. I notice when I try to do work from bed it never happens. I have been using my kitchen. I also like the designated location suggestion, I will try to use the library

TalesFromAPolkCountyGirl I agree! I think it would prevent people from mentally checking out on duty- wouldn’t work for every job but it could work for many

Hi Alexis. I work from home and am an online college student. I sometimes struggle with prioritizing when I have an exam to study for and have work projects due in the same week. But your Tip#5 was right on spot for me. My mistake has been setting hours for work time and separate hours for my studies. Your UPS example made a lot of sense because the goal is to focus on the task, not the number of hours. This video was a true inspiration for me. Thanks so much for sharing. You are awesome!

Haven’t watched your videos recently but loved this one, simple ideas but I also run my business from home and needed a new dose of focus! My favorite tip in this video, plan the day around your top 3 and when complete, ok to move on with your personal life..instead of watching a clock💕

Great tips! It's SO true about being 'dressed' making you more productive! I really miss having a separate work space - it really makes a difference. Had to stop using the spare bedroom upstairs and move my desk down into the living room. (Can't do stairs easily anymore and need to be close to care for my ill hubby through out the day, so the up and down constantly was too hard) Since it's always right there I never really "clock out" and if I'm not parked in front of the TV, I'm working. Sounds productive.. but I also get distracted so many times during the day. I am going to try the top 3 and see if focusing on being 'done' when those are accomplished helps.

These are really great tips! I agree on having a designated workspace. When I decided to buy myself a work desk that's when I started actively participating in my project. I am excited to try the rest of your tips too I actually took notes. Thank you so much! Cheers for 2019!

Hi. I work from home too. I manage a travel company single handed. I work in a large network of associates In India and abroad. A suggested by you, I do have a set time to start work. I would generally list out the weekly to dos and go through the week often procrastinating certain jobs (like follow up by calling). What I will do from now on is work on a daily schedule with top 3 to dos. So I don't get overwhelmed and push calling people for later. Thank you for the video.

As usual another wonderful video Alexis! I love tip #5: Focusing on your top 3 and once they're done they're done. I don't personally do the top 3 but I plan to incorporate them. But I do have the daily schedule. Once I'm done with that, if it's an early day, then I usually keep going so I can get ahead in my week. I find it useful when I'm working on a project, it helps me get more done so that I can have plenty of time to review my work and improve it where needed. I have to admit though that some days I have to set an end of the day time because I know that I have things that need to be done outside of work and i wo t be able to get work done then

Hardest part is having 3 online university classes and 2 in class night courses next semester. My baby turns 2 years next month and is starting physical therapy as well. I only have a babysitter when the night courses take place. Hubby comes home late and is gone for work by the time we wake up. We get the weekends with him. So I'm hoping to get all work done Monday through Friday and take a weekend break. Just no idea how to schedule all this. I have a cluttered home office with no organization system

Sweett And Simple first, I’d recommend for your personal sanity to have grace with those who don’t seem to understand you- Everyone has their *ish they are going through! Next perhaps show them this video and have an honest conversation, if they don’t get it after that continue to have grace and find yourself a new spot to work 🖤

I struggle with this too, I have 3 kids under 6 and a partner that works 10-12 hours a day during the week and then odd jobs over the weekend. We live on farm so he is the go to person for anything on the farm 😳 I find that I do most of my "work" after 9pm or before 6am.
