Yeah, japanese sweets are very lightly sweetened compared to western sweets/candy! Making them yourself means you can make them how you like it! 😊

Thank you for uploading! I've been wanting to try making hanami dango myself, but all the recipes I've found so far make 12-16 skewers 😅 so I'm happy to see a small recipe to make and try it out! I have all the ingredients, so I'm making this tomorrow! 😊

True! Try from small portion and if you like them, you can double or multiple the amount and make more next time!

@@emilykate2624 It did the second time! For the first try, I used the wrong flour... It looked amazing! But it tasted weird and had a gritty texture. The second try, I bought the rice flour at an Asian supermarkt and it was delicious! It was soft and chewy with a sweet rice flavor 😊 I hope you'll be able to try it! ❤️

Had seen the mitarashi dango recipe video with tofu or no tofu but not this one, which is very nice as well. Pretty cool information on the colors of the dango, never heard that before. Liking a lot how simple, well explained and straight to the point your video is. Subarashii.

Ah I remember I really wanted to try out making dango, unfortunately the first time didn't work but hopefully it'll succeed when I make em next time ^^ it's been a year or more anyway and I've certainly improved. Exciting to try it out!

I tried it and it was so good! It was very easy to make, and I will definitely be making it again! I would recommend putting in more sugar, because it wasn’t very sweet. Other than that, it was delicious!

Hello, thank you for this great recipe! It turned out great except when I boiled them they became flattened instead of perfect spheres :( is there a way to fix this?

i love the video and how its explained how to make them :) i would love to make those myself at home, sadly the one ingredient i would miss is the gluteinous rice flour.... in every shop i went they told me they don't have it since rice flour is gluteinfree from the beginning... can i use something else as a substitue there? :(

Try online shops. You can search for glutinous rice flour or sweet rice flour or mochiko. They are all same. Btw, glutinous rice flour contains no gluten as it is made from rice!

Not sure as I have never tried. For your information, ycan freeze cooked dango but fresh dango is always the best.Thanks for your question!❤️
