mista FreakMoPed I believe that the tolerance for a Vespa Sprint Veloce rotary valve is 0,00- 0,04 mm. Shouldn't that be the same for a PX??

no, all rotary valve engines have 0,05 (or, 0,04) Doesnt matter if vna, vnb, sprint, rally, pe or px. Its the value professionals use to repair it. below that the pad gets damaged by the crankshaft cheek.

@@FreakMoPed8 I appreciate your fast reply :) I have an original workshop manual covering sprint , rally and others. It states the radius from center to the rotary pad should be 49 -0 +0,04 mm . I measured 3 cranks and I found them to be 49 mm , so the tolerance is 0,00 - 0,04 mm . I found a link to the same page as in my manual oopsclunkthud.com/Vespa_service_manual/Pages/209.html Am I misunderstanding something??

as i read it it is EXACTLY 0,04 mm as 0mm gets stuck, and this is the value at least one of my 3 rv pro repair guys uses. below 0,04mm the crank cheek damages, trust me. been there, done that.

Wenn man einen ausgelutschten oder kaputten drehschieber hat, kann man den selber wieder reparieren, bzw. Wie wird so etwas instand gesetzt? ...... ausser Umbau auf Membran.

Funktioniert die Drehschieberfläche dann zu 100% wenn man das mit einer Fühlerlehre misst? Also wenn die 0,1 mm stecken bleiben, funktioniert der perfekt? Oder sollte man den Öl test auch machen(mit welchem öl dann?)

glaubst du dass der motorinstandsetzer beim neu ausdrehen der ds flaeche dann 1h pause macht und einen oeltest macht? Oder ob er die toleranz der beiden bauteile misst 😃 vergiss das mit dem. Oeltest, das ist genauso unsinn wie dass blowback von zu langen einlasszeiten kommt 0,1 klemmt = funktioniert bestena sogar mit Kratzer

Super danke für die Antwort. Kann man diese messmethode bei jedem motor mit drehschieber anwenden? Btw: Bei deinem Video von 2015 sagst du dass ein 0,1 mm rv defekt ist?

ja, jeder mit drehschieber. ja wenn 0,1mm lehre durchgeht ist der drehschieber als defekt zu bezeichnen, da macht tuning keinerlei sinn. nur 0,1 merkt man das schon beim si einstellen (sehr empfindlich) dann funktioniert nur noch original mit wenig einlasszeiten und niedrigen zylinder steuerzeiten. das ventil schließt einfach nicht mehr 100%ig. besser nerven sparen und neu machen auf 0,05mm hin, wie die motoren eben alle aus dem werk original auch daherkommen.

yes. that doesnt work. pad and crank.will.weld.each other. been there, done that 🤣
