I'm so glad you talked about this! This has been my complaint for a long time, it's something called "Private Label" where the lab already has formulations created, you just pay them to package it and print your logo on the tub. I understand the appeal, it's far cheaper than hiring a lab to create a product from the ground up, but as a consumer I find it really annoying.

Hi Robin, is there any way to get product/hairstyle advice from you? Everything I do my hair I end up with a hard mess. I have tried vilain gold digger, layrite pomade, suavecito, Tommy boy anchor, aveda grooming clay, and probably a dozen more. I always end up topping off with hair spray cause I have fine hair. I would like to see a brand battle for hair spray, oddly enough. I have those special occasions where I'd like to lock my style into place, but I can never find myself to use hairspray for multiple reasons. Some either give you a strong perfume smell or that awful hair spray smell, some flake up during the day, others make your hair look like a wet mess, etc.
