This show was pure comedic genius. They never relented and pushed the limits of comedy. I don't think there could be a MadTV now. But of all things society needs right now, is more of this. A great show with award-winning talent. Me and my ex actaully made virtual friends with one of the actors. Another thing, most of them continue to do comedic work. Alex B. was in Ms. Maisel and amazing show, Will Sasso pops up quite often as a character actor, it's always great seeing him full stop. Then there's the killer, Jordan Peele. That brother there. He has no bounds no limits, hyper creative and he can go places nobody dare go. That is until you see Aries Spears, becuase his takedowns and characterizations are always ON POINT. He's the new Paul Mooney. Then there's sister Debra Wilson, she most def a Queen of Comedy who I don't see enough of. She always delivers a powerful performance, and I'm sorry, fuck a boundry with her. She did the Whitney Houston to devastating effect. She and Aries were magic but she was the pixie dust in those duos. Added the falir and intensity. All told, that was an amazing cast of talent. I stopped watching SNL becuase of this show and never went back. I'll go back when they put MadTV back on the air, when they can. We're gonna have to loosen it up a bit before that happens, But when it does, I'm subscribing! Thanks for this video!

1:33 was actually really clever circumventing of anti tobacco laws in media. I dont think youre allowed to show people lighting a cigarette (or bud) on tv, not in advertising, not in tv, and not in parodies of tv shows. You dont actually see him light it because of the cards, nor do you see him smoke it, only a brief rip from behind the cards and you get a lot of wasps of smoke from off camera. Just struck me as very clever and a little risky given the FCC fines for breaking these laws. A ballsy tv show for sure, you think SNL would have ever risked a skit like this?
