Emperor's favour is so nice for pvp you're completely right, 90% of the time it's single target only there already & now you can't get kicked on it as well? 10/10 ty blizz, especially now that we have rising wind kick and we don't have to put ourselves in as bad positions to take advantage of half the class's toolkit anymore MW is looking better than ever for arena!

Crazy idea but what about fixing major bugs that are in the game for years and make some capstone talents not work at all in some situations? If you take the Tea boosting enveloping mist at the same time as you have Chi-Ji stack you lose both buffs which is silly and you can lose all stacks of the tea when you have 2 on enveloping which is 100% a bug. Same with the tea boosting renewing mist the buff is being lost through rapid diffusion procs and does nothing it's just a net loss making the talent abysmal to use whenever rapid diffusion is chosen (which is almost always). The tea talents are already not competitive at all it's really frustrating that they don't even bother debugging them when these bugs have been there since DF beta.

Unlikely to see use in M+ since you're giving up a strong AOE heal for it, but maybe if there's another NPC healing dungeon like Galakron's Fall or Temple of Sethraliss

I think I quite like this shift to single target bcs while Monk is currently great on mob fighting, but not so much on the boss. At least I can give up Peer Into Peace and give it to another

nah i agree..Feather feet should be a PVE option too thats easy to get. It wont make you super OP, it will make the feeling more wholesome when healing. I wouldnt use ut in keys as example, only weird instances maybe. But in raids i would use it all the time. the equallant is hover for evokers and tbh i played evoker JUST because of that one ability for a tier alone, it wasnt enough for the specc alone to be funny sadly. But monk with that feather feet ability would make the whole exp as a MW monk more immersed and would suit its playstyle perfectly. Im still in that spot where i think that MW in raids that is, is the best spot healer even tho other speccs can push healing just as good But MW is still awesome with mist spamming, and you get tied down loosing alot of globals during progress when you still learn fights etc and its a tad more boring to play around then the other classes. Some movement casting would just solve the entire specc rn. Druids - instant casts Shaman - Spiritwalker Evoker - Hover Priest - Penance / instant heals tons of em Paladin - instant heals

even better. i'll be able to chi-ji heal in raid. while likely still worse than it's alternative the gap won't be as large. . . and since I mostly just do heroic, the heal checks aren't so severe that i need a full ramp setup unless the other healers are twiddling their thumbs. . . which can sometimes happen.

Jade Empowerment seems like a way for us to find more dps as a healer in raid. I don't know if it's channel would be worth it though healing wise, we have so many ways to pump out healing in raid right now. I feel like channeling this is just an HPS loss. So in the situation you actually take this talent (in keys), it's a numerical nerf, which doesn't feel great.

I don't know about the SG changes. It feels really weird to give us a ST heal when our ST healing is kind of absurdly powerful already. SG this season has felt kinda like a wet noodle AOE heal, I have been considering taking shaohao in many of my keys because other CDs almost always give me better bang for my buck. With the planned CJL changes, I assume that will be a pretty damn good short cd AOE heal.... I have been finding myself kinda wishing they would move SG to something that mitigates group damage for some time depending on the number of clouds you cast it at.

I'm actually not happy with the changes. I would like no reduction in our cleave capabilities in any capacity or number. They should have just raised the cap on first target to proc gust for single target and left the rest alone. They gave us the worst healer tier set added to the game and never really fixed it or adjusted it or anything. They took away generous pour (5% avoidance aura in v short range,) but didn't replace it with anything similar or give us any conferable damage reduction option(s.) We don't confer any stats. No bres, no lust/pi, no cheat death, the only conferable immunity is tiger's lust, we have so many talents that would be nice to have but can't take, because fist weaving talents are so deep in the tree and required to even make what we do functional, baseline. Wind walk should either be consoldiated with jade walk into a singular talent, or just made an innate/inherent ability. Its place in the tree is awkward, inconvenient, and doesn't make any sense to me personally. Jadewalk and windwalk should be combined such that you have 24% ms out of combat and confer 4% to allies and when you enter combat all of you (including the monk) only retain the 4% ms. That or in my opinion wind walk should just be a default thing we have or do. There's some things like this or paralysis requiring a talent point that didn't add anything to the game imo. Kind of like how making mage's flame strike and all it's supporting talents such a pain to get for a time that fire mages just preferred their cleave ignite damage they did in their single target rotation, so after many attempts to fix this or balance it (and even making it over powered for a season iirc) they just made it a baseline ability, like it used to be. Decurse options should be too. And kicks. Giving holy priest chastise baseline wouldn't be the most earth shattering thing ever but because of the awkward place their talents are in, they might elect to not even take it at all. Which i think currently is what's best for them to get other much needing healing throughput talents. Pres evoker's kick is similarly a 45 sec cool down They should combine lighter than air with the talent that makes our roll/torpedo go slightly further, move it up the tree, and fix the tool tip to tell players it lets them walk on water briefly. Diffuse magic should be an all purpose self cleanse imo. Like it should work like the DK's unyielding will talent (which removes everything except bleeds basically.) It's not even always clear to me what diffuse magic can and can't remove until after I've tried to do it. Like if you get an untyped debuff that does magic damage I would have assumed it would clear it, right? Aren't all curses in gb spells? What even are curses if they're not magical? And why does blizzard like making obscure weird things like curses and bleeds and stuff a huge pain for healers. And I know maybe it sounds like I'm asking for a lot with just some of the few ideas I have but in the bigger picture it's really not. Every other healer has some form of conferable damage reduction. They have conferable stats in some capacity cooked in. The other melee healer, paladin, has all of these things and avenging wrath is big f d every time you hit it. ChiChi is like a worse avenging wrath. Signficantly worse. To get the full use out of chichi you have to get coverage for the 10% healing buff (why on earth doesn't chichi just automatically apply this and it stay up the entire time chichi is out, what blizzard is the purpose of making me cast more enveloping mists for it when I need to do my rotation to get the gust of mist procs and cast jadefire to empower my rising sun kick and faster reset the cd of revival/restoral, etc.) You press avenging wrath and no matter what you do it's BIG. You can leave melee, you can do whatever you want and it's AWESOME. Avenging wrath is so good that basically whenever I am inclined to use it, the party is just straight up immortal for the duration. I mean it literally can out heal anything. The stacking absorb shields and curses? Avenging wrath can out heal it. By god it can and will. Party just ate the orb slam and the pulse is about to start on second boss of dawn? Avenging wrath + aura mastery not a problem, easy. EASY. Who cares if you're in melee? Doesn't matter big heals and instant casts and big damage when you dps. And when you word of glory someone they get like 20% armor for 4.5 seconds? w...what?? Bubble, sac, lay hands, avenging wrath, intercession, plate armor, freedom, bop, aura mastery and devotion aura in general, etc. I could go on, believe me. I'm just baffled. None of these changes are what I would asked for. If anything, being that our damage and therefore sustained aoe healing in cleave, is the only thing monk is particularly good at, I think any reductions to our damage or cleave was a bad move. Yes i think improvements to single target were needed but I don't think it needed to come at the cost of anything. I also think dance should have been improved for single target because I prefer dance to empowered. And also even then the issues i mostly had with chichi in single target weren't exactly it's healing per'se it was that the hardest heal checks in the season also happen to be the ones with area of denial to remove you from melee. This creates a unique problem for monk that no other healer in the game has to suffer such incredible healing loss. Or the fact that not having even half the melee uptime of when chichi is out just feels bad, because you needed that healing and all the benefits of having your celestial and some instant casts of mist and stuff, but if you don't get away from the boss you or everyone is gonna die. And it's not that simple either these usually overlap a tank buster or other problematic mechanic. Second boss of dawn with it's none stop ability spam followed by a tank buster aoe that will almsot always force me out of melee when I NEED to heal that orb impact RIGHT NOW because after the tank buster he is going to start the pulse. Or amalgamation in cot where it overlaps the expulsion bomb and also a billion healing absorb things. You know what my paladin just does? Someone go eat all those orbs and I'll out heal the first set, then on the second set go eat all of them and I'll lay hands you, next round same thing but I'll bubble. Compared to monk who feels so sweaty and intense trying to be everywhere all at once doing everything all the time. This has already gotten to long. My bad. I have a lot of opinions after playing my mw as my main daily all season and most of them are generally disatisfied. Not just with where monk is at compared to other healers but the fact that I feel like blizzard doesn't know what to do with them or where to take them. The tier set being the most obvious example. Go log your other heal toons and read what their sets did. Pres evoker's maintenance hot rapidly generates stacks when it heals that amounts to a 40% haste and 40% healing buff to their empowered healing spells they use all the time to do big heals. Monk got 10% more healing on the worlds weakest hots and if you want to waste mana extending them by 3 seconds for no positive effect at all you can do that. Or you can recast the mist to ramp the next vivify instead, you know, like you have to do if you want casting vivify on them to have any effect at all in reality. That just gets me, omg, like it jsut gets to me. Blizzard extending the hot is so bad because I'm going to reset the hot's duration when I cast it on them again to ramp the next vivify. I'm laughing it's so bad.

@@Megasett But why not have two viable healing options for MW? I love caster monk. We have an incredible spell book with the best single target direct heals in the game and OP mitigation 6% damage reduction while channeling soothing mist--and I don't even get to use these as my standard rotation--how does that make sense? In DF I would fistweave in M+ (and trash pulls in raid), but then I had a viable caster build for single target / bosses in raid. Especially now with the Hero talent system it would be even easier and more logical to have one set of Hero talents designed for a caster build, and the other set for fistweave build. Look if we were pumping tons of damage, then I would be more willing to accept fist weaving. But I have to concentrate so hard on my stupid little rotation as MW to achieve C-tier damage, meanwhile my disc priest and even resto sham do more damage (with less gear) with way less thought put into it.
