Thank you Dan for a thorough illustration of learning “Misty” melody. I am not familiar with this song so I spent time to listen several singers and piano soloists. I like your spontaneous performance demo the best, truly. The “rolling chords method” appears inspiring to me. I may try that. The lyric of the last few bars “I’m too misty and too much in love” is romantic. I will view the Part 2 today. 👍🙏

Cordialement, Dan

Do you have any tutorials on arpeggios like at 0:14?

kzbin.info/www/bejne/hqbChKOXfaujorc 🎶🙋♂️ Get this down and then what I do in the performance above will be easier. I am playing Bb(b9) which is Bb, D, F, Ab, B… but without the Ab in this run. Left hand is playing the Bb then the right is playing B D F B. This is done rapidly as you can see. Good luck! Best, Dan

Thank you. The starting piece was the title of this video! Misty. Lovely, eh? I've got a few videos like this: kzbin.info/aero/PL4cPpP-Ua6NXa22S7GCC30aFJbteHWAum And here are my compositions: soundcloud.com/danthecomposer/popular-tracks - I encourage you to enjoy Duna Autumn, Middle Way, Budapest Theme part 3 and Mister. But by all means enjoy them all (perhaps!) I have a few other compositions floating around which I'll record and upload eventually! Best, Dan
