Notice the G-meter seems to not be calibrated - it was reading .2 positive most of the time even when going straight, so cornering forces in that direction were probably around 1g which seems very feasible with a good set of slicks in a TurboS.

Great drive specially on those tires. I can just imagine the car "a real 944 Turbo s by the way" would be like on some Michelin cup tires. Thank you for posting this.

Whats scary is that this is a pretty stock car, and there are several places where he wasn't pushing the car as much as he could have. It wasn't a "perfect" run. Plus the other cars on a couple occasions slowed him. This car (in what looks like near stock form) could well be in the 7 second bracket if the driver gave it a few more tries. WOW (great driving btw!)

Considering that it was a minute and 15 seconds faster than Fangio ever went around it, I would say that the car is quite amazing. Of course I may be a tad biased since I own a 944.

ok first of all i loved the video... amazing, but just for fun, did anyone see, him texting 2 times while driving, the second time being the last 15 seconds of the video, he is going 195 mph and texting with his right hand after he shifts. amazing, that's how we do it the pro's can drive the streets with one knee, text talk and argue with your girl friend, then girl friend would not be able, to do half that, sorry ladies...

+John Que He wasn't texting. He was activating, then deactivating the onscreen timer. Also, a 944 turbo S tops out at around 160mph. he was doing 195 kph (Nurburgring is in Europe).
