I’m nationally Korean and even I didn’t know about the difference LOL😂 I think this video is going to be a huge help for korean learners out there:)

Very useful! It sounds like they're more or less the same as もと (밑) and した (아래) in Japanese. Thanks a lot.

Are you learning it with a certain book? Can you give us the name? Or you just go by your own?

These kinds of explanations are so helpful there are so many words that are translated the same but the nuance is lost. I am constantly having to ask korean friends these types of questions but they can't always articulate the differences.

Since you mentioned it beginning, have you ever done a video on using a good online Korean dictionary to translate words to English?
@GoBillyKorean6 жыл бұрын
Not yet, but it's in the works.

Both words can replace each other. It's considered almost the same (90%).

Billy, can your next video be the explanation of this: 갓 is pronounced as gat, but why is it spelled as 갓 when it can just be spelled like 같??
@GoBillyKorean6 жыл бұрын
I have a live Korean class about sound change rules you can watch. Also it's just spelling. Why is "cat" spelled as "cat" instead of "kat?" Each word has a different reason for its spelling in Korean.

Meh I’ll just use one of those words and make it less complicated for myself. I feel like I hear 아래 way more anyway.
