Mitsubishi Colt Z30 (2002-2012) Board Computer Screen Repair. As this is often failure point on this great little car, I will show you how to repair this irritating issue. In my case, screen was simply dead (no backlight and no LCD working). After fix, all good as new!

Many thanks, mate. Mine was bugging me for years. I don't think it's broken but just has a loose power connection. It's sometimes all working properly, while at other times it's completely blank. I looked at stripping the dash (too much grief), and took the stereo out (still couldn't get at it). I then came to the conclusion that Mitsubishi must have fitted it before they fitted the windscreen. As I wasn't going to remove the windscreen for it I gave up on sorting it out about 2yrs ago. So the star bit of your video, for me, was the location of those hidden plastic clips. Access looks SO easy now I know about them. Thanks again.

At 4:01 you see two black caps? Those are lightbulb holders. If I remember correctly, you should rotate them anticlockwise and gently pull out..

Great video. What if I replace factory radio unit? Is board computer wired both to radio and to some ither harness to get data such as fuel consumption etc.? I just want to understand if I can retain some basic board functionality after factory radio is replaced. Thanks

Hi! I think that consumption, temperature etc. will not be affected with aftermarket head unit. Where station is shown(or CD track) it will be just empty space. Thanks for the comment!

Try to translate pls Как сохранить возможность переключения режимов расхода топлива и тд на бк, выкинув родной магнитофон, ибо он плохо звучит на рестайлинге 7 кольта можно сделать отдельную кнопку, но можно ли сделать такое же на 6 кольте

my board computer dont turn off if i turn off the colt :(, i guess it will suck out the battery

I had to remove mine to stop it’s power consumption. It would stay on, bright green light, with nothing on the screen. I had unplug as was draining the battery overnight 👍

@@KyranNoallMedia i fixed mine, by cleaning it with a brush and isopropyl alkohol, after this i Soldered the Processor like shown in the videos

@@KyranNoallMedia just care while soldering and remove as much as you can of this yellow sticky glue, also use a thin tip for the soldering iron. and i recommend using solder paste it will ease the soldering. if youre ready look very very closely to the solderings and check twice before going back to your car and build in the BC, will safe some time

No idea about that, the one from the video still has the original stereo.
