These two guys are probably the best car reviewers out there. I love how they really bring out so many details in such short videos. You two are great! Thanx "EverydayDriver"

That review is actually, REALLY GOOD! You guys are funny , the camera work in all your shots are great. Also the fact that the music was low on the volume is GREAT. I thoroughly enjoyed hearing the Evo X's exhaust as well. Though it could have been a bit louder.

Great video! I love your sense of humor, plus you nailed the experience of driving a car like this for me. "This car doesn't handle, it bends the earth to its will."

@TheThedragonwarrior - We highly recommend you drive both, as the 370 & Evo X feel very different behind the wheel. The Evo has a better dual-clutch transmission if you don't want the manual. The Zs synchro-rev manual is awesome. The Evo will have more amazing handling and be more versatile. The 370z has great RWD handling, but the Evo will probably amaze you more.

The Evo X is the 10th version of the Lance Evolution. In the US It is offered in two model designations, the GSR (in this review) which is 5 speed manual, and the MR which is 6 Speed Dual clutch. - there are other model variations sold elsewhere - . We have a review of a MR coming soon. I hope that helps, and thanks for watching!

I own a 2013 gsr and I'm absolutely in love with it. He's right I drive it everyday with the biggest smile on my face. I did drive an MR though, and even though I love stick, it's amazing what that dual clutch tranny can do

It's ~3500 pounds for the GSR, ~3600 for the MR. My clutch made it to 25k miles, but I've a few friends that went to 40k+, it's all driving style. And yeah, the seats are amazing.

You guys did a GREAT review of this car to see how it performs. I really liked how you pushed the car to its limit and actually drove it on the twisties instead of straight road. The rest of the reviews on KZbin are BS and many of the guys just talk about the specs of the car instead of actually driving it to to see how it runs. This is what you call a review!

In 2010 Mitsubishi released a small number of Evo X SEs (340 to be exact). It’s the car you guys were looking for. All of the go fast bits for the MR (SST transmission, Bilstein dampers, Eibach springs, aluminum roof) with none of the frills: no leather, no sun roof, no nav system/hard drive). It sold for about $36K - much cheaper than an MR. They were released to the dealers a couple of months before the 2011models, so by early 2011, the dealers would let them go fairly cheap. They are still out there. Extremely rare and under appreciated.

You guys are hilarious! The review was informative, and cracked me up like Top Gear. Keep up the great work.
@EverydayDriver11 жыл бұрын
MR review was posted late last year and is available on our Channel. We agree that the GSR needs a 6th gear, and the MR SST is a very impressive transmission. We hope you'll find and watch our MR review, and we welcome your thoughts. Thanks for watching!

I went to see one at the dealer today. It's nice inside and out. My only gripes: 1: it needs 91 octane fuel, 2: It gets only 17 MPG city, and, 3: the trunk is only large enough for about four shoe boxes.

Love my Evo X. Absolutely everything they said was true. Considering you can do a cold air intake, exhaust, and a tune and be at or around 400whp on stock boost, you realize it's by far the biggest bang for your buck. Family men that are sports car enthusiasts everywhere should rejoice as this is a near perfect compromise of space and performance.

@warikplaya - Yes, you're considering 2 different groups. The Evo & WRX are one group, and the A4 & CC are the other. If you want refinement, long-distance cruising, etc... go with the CC - It's a better looking, more interesting A4 for less money. The base A4 may feel a bit better to drive, but not by much. If you want performance... go with the EVO. It's the best performance car of your choices by a wide margin. The WRX is fun, but the EVO is more amazing and will give you a bigger grin.

I bought an Evo-X MR. I live in Australia. It was my dream since 2007. I've seen your review about a 100 times... and boy your right about Bending the earth to my will. I love the interior because I've never owned a new car always had a junkyard car hehehe so im immune to the interior review... But when I test drove the GOLF - R I felt it was better.

@EverydayDriver Have you guys driven the TCC SST the MR version if yes how fast is it compared to the Mazda MPS 3 , I have heard some people say its slow... in the GSR review you mentioned the acceleration is like "if you shotguned a beer" do you get the same feeling for the MR? like getting pushed in the seat feeling?

@EverydayDriver I've noticed with 90% of vehicles, if you're running stick shift you can get a lot more power out of the vehicle in the end. Is the Evo X an exception to this rule with it's paddle shifters? When driving my Hyundai Genesis, I often do well on a track because I can near the red-line before I shift thus getting the most power out of it's pulls. Can you get the maximum performance out of the X's paddle-shifters, or will it not let you reach near the red-line?
@ParallelSnail13 жыл бұрын
@EverydayDriver How does the Evo X stack up against the 2011 WRX STi? I've found both for about the same price, but which is more powerful performance-wise, or responds better to engine modifications? I have some people saying the Evo is better, while others telling me to get the STi. Which do you think would make the better track car?
@GetSomeHomeBoy112 жыл бұрын
can you get the full evo with 360hp in the USA?
@salchipapa800013 жыл бұрын
@EverydayDriver regarding what you said about reliability, what would be some of the things you think i would need to do within the first year ? check for turbo leaks ? change tires ? oil changes more than often ? and also, i heard that the EVO X eats a lot of gas on the freeway because its only a 5 speed and doing cruising speeds down the highway, it revs to high

As an owner may be I can answer a few questions. I have an 08 gsr and it's been super reliable/the most fun car I've driven. As far as upkeep goes, stock tires cost nearly $400 each and are great for track, awful in snow. You will need to replace the clutch after an average of about 30k miles depending on how it's driven and you will need a clutch master cylinder replacement when you Change said clutch. Other then that it's bulletproof, and it takes to mods just as well if not better then IX's.

@EverydayDriver Alright, thank you very much for both your time and your input. Now I just have one last question. Do you know if the EVO X responds as well to high powered engine mods as the previous Evo IX? I remember hearing the IX was easily tuned for low cost and made extremely formidable in all types of racing.

I live in the UK so lots of very twisty country roads, with a speed limit of 60 mph. Not that i have ever seen police or a speed camera on these roads anyway.... And i am thinking of getting the evo x, and i am still to arrange a test drive but i would just like to know how uncomfortable the car is to drive long distances in? Also what sort of fuel efficiency were you getting?
@EverydayDriver12 жыл бұрын
@TheFernandotorres17 - Don't worry... if you can't get one right away, you can get one eventually! If you can afford the insurance as a first car, good for you... but the Evo is a LOT of car for someone's first vehicle. Thanks for watching!
