Only Mixed Conditionals: 1st case = Past Action, Present Result or 3rd con to the 2nd If Past Perfect, Would + be [If + S + Past Perfect, Would + be Or S + Would If Past Perfect] E.g. If I hadn't take my cat to my grandfather's home, she wouldn't be meowing right now all day long 2nd case = Present Condition, Past Result, 2nd to the 3rd If Past Simple, Would Have (V³) Been [If + S + Past Simple, Would + Have + V³/ed] E.g. I would have been more focused if I new about celibacy technique which Chinese monks use when they need a real tangiable power 3rd case = Future action, Past Result If + Past Continuous with Future intention, Past Result (= Would/Should/Could + Have + V³/ed) E.g. If Saydullo didn't have to go to the US he could have stayed here and become an excellent brilliant teacher (- here is the future intention) I should have kept working on myself day by day if I were dismissed out of my work place (it is just an example though- fortunately I was experienced enough to figure it out)

New knowledge for me: If had prepared well for the test, I would be lying on my sofa drinking coffee with satisfaction that I had done it! I would be smiling at myself if I hadn't been able to explain this topic to someone If I'd gone to my current teacher many years ago I would be teaching many students already as the explanation part is vital in any case I guess I would be playing guitar easily If I had spent 2 years of constant work

I can not help saying that your lesson is the most comprehensive from which are committed to the mixed conditions. Earlier ( several months ago) I devoted a lot of time to understand this topic. I had watched a lot of KZbin movies a lot of bloggers. I want to claim that your video about mixed conditions is the best educational video on this grammar topic and you is the perfect as usually!

I'd value some advise regarding the following sentence: 'Receive the monthly magazine, delivered straight to your door'. Am I right in thinking that this comma is unnecessary as, 'delivered straight to your door' is a restrictive participle phrase that modifies the noun 'magazine'?

This comes very easily to me, I think from a lifetime of extensive, if not excessive, reading. Or maybe that these usages were just correctly applied in my parents’ speech. The biggest speech clue to social class is the correct use of the subjunctive, and all the conditionals, here in the US. Those with minimal education really struggle with these, often just adding “had” to sound “better” and coming up with some strange verb forms like “I had runned”, and “I had ranned”, instead of “I ran” or “I had run”.

Hey, Leila Your video is awesome, especially your life examples, however, it's a bit confusing for me, You were talking about the Past Unreal + Future Unreal Result although it was written 3rd(=Past Perfect) > 2nd (Would + be) but there wasn't -ing in the second conditional Can you explain this to me? You're a cool teacher with practical and awesome examples that simplify the gist of the topic. Thank you Leila

Antes que se me olvide. Quisiera hacer una pregunta. ¿Cómo lo hacen ustedes para diferenciar a unos gemelos de unos mellizos?. Me explico. Entonces: Suponiendo que yo estuviera embarazada y el doctor me dice "You'l be a mother of twins". ¿Cómo sabré si seré madre de gemelos o madre de mellizos?.
