The silver lining of dealing with acne is that it makes you more likely to pay attention to your skin than other people might. I have friends with naturally great skin now that don’t care about sunscreen, and I think, with my diligent care and sun protection regime, the decades ahead will be kinder to me than to my clear faced peers.
@ArcherMillerFilmBoeuf2 жыл бұрын
And yes, I double cleanse that sunscreen off every night and apply a retinoid, at the very least.

My biggest lesson learned has definitely been to be consistent on using what works. I got on a great routine and was consistent everyday for a few weeks and my skin looked incredible. Then I started getting lazy or wanting to experiment with other cool products and my skin gave me a reality check real quick.

Almost same 🥲 few months after I stopped breaking out I forgot benzoyl peroxide and started to exfoliate with glycolic acid... Everything was okay and then with few acne and gets out of control 🥲😂...now I simplied everything with just cleanser and benzoyl peroxide , moisturizer 🥲..and sunscreen at AM .

A benzoyl peroxide cleanser was a game changer for me. I tried aha, bha, niacinamide, and retinoids over the years. They were pretty effective, but the benzoy peroxide took it to the next level.

Was it a cleanser or treatment? The cleanser washes off, so it’s more gentle, for me at least. I had a bad experience with a benzoyl peroxide treatment cream several years ago. The spots where I applied it before bed were so red and dry by the morning. The cleanser is much different and I’m not having the irritation now.

Honestly for my skin, keeping it hydrated vs focusing on moisture and using azelaic acid has made the biggest difference. Azelaic acid definitely helps my skin and then especially during the cold dry months, my skin gets SUPER dry and dehydrated but I've figured out now it's more so dehydrated and when it's comfortable and trying to over produce oil, my acne is managed pretty well. Now I'm trying to get rid of hyper pigmentation and keep my breakouts at bay most of the time

I was given Spironolactone for my hormonal acne but it caused extreme abdominal pain so I had to stop. My derm gave up on me because most things caused me to break out or cause drying. So I am on my own trying to figure out what to do. Finding a dermatologist who wants to work with you is a blessing to be honest.

Loved hearing about Phelisha’s journey! I’ve had moderate acne on and off for 18 years, and have learned that consistency is key! I rarely switch up my skincare when I find products that work for me. Currently, my routine is as follows: AM: Cleanse with Fresh Soy Face Cleanser Apply Clindamycin 1% lotion to t-zone Moisturize with Dermalogica Calm Water Gel PM: Same as above except I remove my makeup with Garnier Micellar Water or Farmacy Green Clean Cleansing balm. Then, I apply my prescription retinoid (Tazorac 0.1% Gel) to my t-zone.

Tretinoin has been my best friend. I started curology well over 2 years ago and I always check in. I have it mixed with azelaic and clindamycin. But I've loved having the prescription in my routine. Plus adding Naturium has been my life saver. Can't live without either ! Switching to a silk or satin pillow case was helpful and I had to cut out gluten for not just my skin but my stomach. Big change there.

Love Mixed Makeup and Susan BUT every time there is a guest I always react to that Susan takes over the whole "interview". With her makeup artist, the dermatologist and this one as well. I feel like it would be better if she took a step back and let the other person who are suppose to come in and put there personal view of something, talk more. Susan now takes over and even if the other person agrees alot it defeats the purpose and that's a shame😕 this one is better, and love this concept but still just a thought🙌

Since they said there is very little data on using it topically it's probably the same case for using in in pregnancy, so doctors would likely advise not to since we just don't know.

I really like your techniques. I tried some of them on my own skin. It feels really nice, but I didn't quite get the results I wanted. Since my skin is oily, I get acne very quickly and some of them stay on my skin for a long time. I don't like this situation. I have tried many creams to get rid of my acne. Most have failed. I have been using a cream called RWLMAX Cream for the last 3 months. This is truly a miracle because it quickly reduced my long-standing acne breakouts and eliminated most of them. I really enjoyed using it and I recommend everyone to try it. Now I am happier every time I look in the mirror. I definitely recommend you to review and experience the site.
