I just ge the impression that Miyeon was born to sing in English. Her Korean singing is spectacular, don't get me wrong, but the way she sings in English suits her voice so well. Even in her Koreran previous songs I thought it was the case even when it just was a couple of words or on Lee Mujin covering something. I am also pretty sure that people who don't care about lyrics (obviously, not talking about you, DG) really don't have a clue about WHO Idle really is, wheter they are he ones they wrote themselves or not. If they started singing only in English many would be quite surprised... Yeah, that last song is filled with little details. Not only do they refrain the expected rhyme between hard and hearth making it both musically and thematically relevant, but the repetition of hard does both make the absence of hearth more noticeable than if they actually said it and also feel like it is an actually beating heart. The whole album is very well constructed. You got the typical Idle contrast pair of song at the beginning, with a woman pleading (to the point of sad warnings about "i am going to fuck this shit up") for her lover not to forsake her for another woman ,and I Want That, about a woman just taking her lover and the rest of the world wheter said world and he want it or not. Plus the first song and the last being about the same thing (pleading a lover to not break your hearth) not only in different situations, but tones. From the begging of I Do to a more mature and confident, and honest, asking. Finishing the album after such a journey trough absolute self confidence with such vulnerability is not only fitting structurally and tonally, but it also shows that same self confidence in a complete different light. To be able to open up like that about something so personal and to be able to accept one´s own feelings of hurt shows as much strength as a flexing rap, and certainly much more maturity than "She will never love you like i do, stop it or i am going to fuck that shit up". The whole album feels like a journey towards true self empowerment. The notion that they were just given random songs here is absurd.

Fun little thing. The TikTok lesbians have fully claimed Eyes Roll as (G)I-die newest sing that's fro the lesbians despite the fact that they do in fact say boy and he multiple times. We don't care, we're a delusional. It's great Also, I used to jokingly call Miyeon my "Bias wrecker, wrecker" and then this EP came out and she actually became my bias wrecker. She wrecked my bias wrecker, it's like I'm a goddamn prophet

Thanks for your reaction! I had the same reaction towards Miyeon in this comeback--she really shines like never before. Her pre-chorus vocals are just angelic and the highlight of almost every song on the album. Wow, this was a very big change of pace for (G)I-dle, and I really loved it. These girls are just so much fun, and I look forward to what they have in store for us in the future! ; )
