I learn many martial arts like silat, tai chi, wing chun, kickboxing and capoeira. I like to learning about martial arts... about culture, Japanese, samurai, sword fighting, Chinese kung fu, Indonesian silat, and more... I started like capoeira 6 year ago n it's first martial arts I like. But I'm started learning 1 year ago. Capoeira in my city do not exist and popular, no one open capoeira class... But I'm still practice at home, with KZbin, of course... 😁 So.. why not? I like it. Thank you, to all capoeira teacher... Thank you, Mestre Barrão 🙏

I forgot how to do cepoeira this is helping me to remember I do Taekwondo and boxing I like capoeira because if you know how to do the moves correctly you can dodged martial arts kicks

Awesome tutorial. Does anyone know what the actual name of the song is at 20:39? The La la way song as I call it. This was my favorite song when I did capoeira but moved and never heard it again. @@Znati0n Don´t be mistaken, Capoeira is much more than just good cardio/strength workout, handstands and fancy movements. :-) It has many techniques that are fully functional and effective in combat. Besides obvious kicks, there are evasive movements/escapes, takedowns, sweeps and originally, there were also elbows, open hand strikes, headbutts and weapons. Of course if you try to do the regular "ginga" step in a real fight or if you expect your techniques to work just like you do them during a Capoeira game, you will be knocked out very quickly. But the principles of Capoeira work very well and for example Mr. Barraozinho from the video above used them successfuly in the ring against non-Capoeria opponents. UFC fighters like Anderson Silva or Thiago Santos also had Capoeira background and cited Capoeira as an art that helped them developing their mma fighting style.

Its a brazilian martial art. It looks like a dance because the slaves were watched and prohibited from practicing any form of combat. So the actual techniques would be used in the middle of a "dance" when practicing. Of course that, today, the dance aspect became more important. Old school would be a lot more focused on the kicks.
